🦉 The Eurasian penduline tit or European penduline tit (Remiz pendulinus)
- Remiz (Polish) Remez, dates back to lat. remissus quiet, calm
- pendulinus pendulus (lat.) pendant (name - for a suspended nest)

I have never seen this bird in my city, but I once managed to see a pair of these birds in the steppes of a neighboring region, in flooded meadows. And this place is ideal for them, because they prefer to settle in dense thickets of cattails and reeds along the banks of lakes and rivers.

These birds are known primarily for their nest building. The male builds the nest, and he constructs several nests. They are shaped like a pouch made of web and plant fibers, and are firmly suspended from flexible branches over the water. Then the female selects the best nest for her eggs.
