This week's topic is - BIG BIRDS

Ural Owl

These cute owls appear in the forests of my city from October. But it is difficult to find them, because during the daytime the birds try to hide to rest before the night hunt.

Marsh Harrier

This predator flew over the meadow in the steppes, searching for prey. Moreover, he was flying quite low, and most likely was looking out for rodents.

Shoveler

By the way, these ducks live in the same meadows in ponds. They look exactly like the mallards we are used to, but they have a special peculiar beak.

Grey Heron

These big birds can be seen from afar. But to my regret, they also see me from afar and therefore fly away immediately as soon as they realize that I am approaching them.

Black Kite

Slightly larger than a crow, but due to their large wingspan, they visually appear larger. By the way, they were already flying back to wintering grounds, until April.

Black Woodpecker

This is the largest of the woodpeckers. It is difficult to confuse it with anyone else. It can be recognized not only by its voice and appearance, but also by the places of its "work". The trees it has processed are without bark, and underneath there is a huge amount of chips.
