###### Hallo Mitternachts-Eulen! 😊 Wie geht es euch? ###### @samostically hat mich gefragt, ob ich ein Logo für seine neue Community **Midnight Letters** ( https://peakd.com/c/hive-186424/about ) erstellen könnte. ✨🌙✉️ Ich habe in der Vergangenheit schon einiges für ihn gemacht und hatte sofort eine Idee dafür, also habe ich zugesagt. Außerdem bin ich selbst oft nachts wach, weil ich nicht schlafen kann – die Community passt also perfekt zu mir. 😄 Die Farben, die mir sofort in den Sinn kamen, waren Dunkelgrau, Dunkellila und Gelb – passend zum Mitternachts-Thema. ###### Als Erstes habe ich einen Hintergrund erstellt. ###### Danach habe ich einen Halbmond und einen Brief hinzugefügt, so wie es sich @samostically gewünscht hatte. ###### Anschließend habe ich eine Weile mit verschiedenen Schriftarten experimentiert. Für das Wort **LETTERS** wollte ich eine Handschrift-Schriftart, und für **MIDNIGHT** eine verspielte, angenehme Schriftart. Die Leute sollten sich beim Ansehen wohl und gemütlich fühlen – und nicht, dass das Logo zu düster oder beängstigend wirkt. ###### Danach habe ich das Hive-Logo eingefügt und es im gleichen Farbverlauf wie den Mond eingefärbt. ###### Ich wollte noch mehr Farbverläufe, also habe ich welche in die Schriftarten und das Brief-Icon eingebaut. ###### Das Ganze brauchte etwas Glow. Also habe ich jedem Objekt einen leichten Schimmer hinzugefügt. Ohne Glow sieht es ebenfalls gut aus – das ist wohl Geschmackssache. Aber ich wollte, dass es ein bisschen „nebliger“ wirkt, so wie es nachts oft aussieht. ###### Der letzte Schritt war ein passender Hintergrund. Das Bild brauchte noch eine zusätzliche Ebene Tiefe. Dafür habe ich ein Sternenbild verwendet und die Sterne in einem Gelb-Weiß-Farbverlauf eingefärbt. ###### Um noch mehr Tiefe und ein verspieltes Element einzubauen, habe ich ChatGPT gebeten, mir eine kleine Geschichte zu schreiben, die zur **Midnight Letters**-Thematik passt. Das kam dabei heraus, und ich finde, es passt perfekt: > „Die Uhr schlug Mitternacht und die Welt wurde still. Nur der Mond leistete mir Gesellschaft, er schien wie ein sanftes Flüstern durch das Fenster. Meine Gedanken wanderten durch den leeren Raum, auf der Suche nach den richtigen Worten für dich. Jeder Stern draußen erinnerte mich an dich – fern, aber immer leuchtend, mich führend durch die Dunkelheit. Die Nachtluft trug den Duft vergessener Träume, und mit jedem Atemzug fühlte ich mich dir näher. Ich fragte mich, ob auch du wach bist – irgendwo weit entfernt – und denselben stillen Stunden lauschst. Die Seiten vor mir blieben lange leer, als ob sie auf den Mut meines Herzens warteten. Und dann, langsam, erschienen die Worte – Worte, die zur Nacht gehörten, Worte, die zu dir gehörten. Sie flüsterten von Sehnsucht, von ungegangenen Wegen, von Türen, die sich nur in Träumen öffnen. Manchmal glaube ich, dass Mitternacht mehr Wahrheit in sich trägt als das Tageslicht je zeigen würde. Denn in der Stille verbirgt sich nichts, und jeder Gedanke ist scharf wie das silberne Licht des Mondes. In dieser Stille gestehe ich Dinge, die ich niemals sagen könnte, solange die Welt zusieht. Vielleicht wirst du eines Nachts, wenn alles still ist, diesen Brief lesen und wissen – er war immer für dich bestimmt, getragen von der Stille der Mitternacht, behütet von den Sternen, bis er seinen Weg in deine Hände findet. Und falls die Winde der Nacht diese Worte verstreuen, mögen sie dich dennoch erreichen, wie Bruchstücke eines Traums, die dich zurückführen zu diesem Moment, zu der Stunde, in der meine Seele nach deiner griff – unter dem endlosen Himmel.“ ###### Diesen Text habe ich in die Hintergrundebene eingebaut. Mit einem transparenten Verlauf habe ich ihn so platziert, dass er nur im schwarzen Bereich sichtbar ist. Damit war das Logo fertig. 😊 Ich bin wirklich zufrieden mit dem Ergebnis und hoffe, es gefällt euch auch! ###### Zum Schluss habe ich noch ein Banner für die Hive-Community erstellt – in zwei Varianten. Eine Version hat alle Elemente in der Safe Zone, sodass es auf jedem Gerät korrekt angezeigt werden sollte. ###### Ich freue mich darauf zu sehen, was ihr alle in die **Midnight Letters** Community einbringen werdet, wenn wir nachts mal wieder nicht schlafen können. 😄 ###### Ich hoffe, euch gefällt mein Design und auch @samosticallys Idee für diese Community! ###### Bis bald! ❤️ ### RAVEN 🐦

@samostically asked me if I could create a Logo for his new community Midnight Letters ( https://peakd.com/c/hive-186424/about ). ✨🌙✉️
I´ve done a bunch of other stuff for him in the past, and I directly had an idea for this one, so I said yes. Also I am often up at night too, because I can´t sleep. So this community fits to me. 😄
The colors I had in mind directly where dark gray, dark purple and yellow to make it match to the midnight theme.
So the first thing I did was creating a background.
I added a halfmoon and a letter like @samostically wanted.
After that, I experimented with the fonts for a while. I wanted a handwriting font for the word LETTERS and a cute font for the word MIDNIGHT. To make people feel nice and cosy when they look at it, instead of it beeing frightening or appearing too dark.
I added the Hive logo and colored it in the same color gradient as the moon.
I wanted more color gradients, so I added some to the fonts and the mail icon.
The whole thing needed a bit of glow. So I added it to every object.
It also looks good without the glow. I think this is just a matter of taste. But I wanted it to appear more "foggy" to represent how it often looks at night.
Last thing that was missing was a proper background. The picture still needed another layer of depth.
So I used a picture with stars and colored them in a yellow-white color gradient.
To add some more depth and a little playful thing. I talked to ChatGPT to generate me a little story in the length I needed, and that fits to the Midnight Letters theme.
Out came this, and I think it fits perfectly.
"The clock struck midnight and the world grew silent. Only the moon kept me company, shining through the window like a gentle whisper. I let my thoughts wander across the empty room, searching for the right words to write to you. Every star outside reminded me of you, distant but always shining, guiding me through the darkness. The night air carried the scent of forgotten dreams, and with every breath I felt closer to you. I wondered if you, too, were awake—somewhere far away—listening to the same quiet hours unfold. The pages before me stayed empty for so long, as if waiting for the courage of my heart. And then, slowly, the words appeared—words that belonged to the night, words that belonged to you. They whispered of longing, of journeys untaken, of doors that opened only in dreams. Sometimes I think midnight holds more truth than daylight ever dares to show. For in the stillness, nothing hides, and every thought is sharp as the silver light of the moon. In that silence, I confess the things I cannot say when the world is watching. Perhaps one night, when the world is still, you will read this letter and know — it was always meant for you, carried by the silence of midnight, kept safe by the stars until it finds its way into your hands. And if the winds of night should scatter these words,may they still find you, like fragments of a dream, guiding you back to this moment, to the hour when my soul reached for yours beneath the endless sky."
So I took this text and added it to my background layer. I added a transparent gradient, so that the text is only visible in the black of the background. And that brings us to the final logo. 😊
I am happy how it came out. I hope you like it too!
The last thing I did was creating a banner for the Hive Community.
I created it in 2 variations. The second one has all the elements in the safe zone, so that it should normally be visible, even if displaying on another device.
I´m looking forward to seeing what you guys will bring up into the Midnight Letters Community when we all can´t sleep at night. 😄
