HELLO FELLOW ANIME FANS, am here to talk about an anime/manhwa i recently watched named GOD OF HIGH SCHOOL, from South Korea, written and illustrated by Yongje Park. Though it's not a new anime, it's actually been aired since 2011 with one one season but i would actually love to see a second season because i feel and know that the anime is yet to be completed and deserves a second chance.
The story is centered around the martial arts world, coming together in a tournament called GOH (god of highschool) tournament where the winner gets whatever they wish for, anything they desire is granted except raising the dead. The tournament was created by Mujin Park, who is the head of the GOH organization and also a member of the National Assembly of Korea, with the tournament been handled by people called "the commissioners". Mujin Park a member of the six, aims is to use the tournament to obtain power to kill god and create a new world. While he has his aim, his nemesis Okhwang also known as King has an aim to summon there own gods to come to the mortal realm to destroy the world 🌍 and recreate it in his own image, but Mujin Park is determined to stop King from attaining his objective.
Mori Jin, the main protagonist entered the tournament so as to save his grandfather and on his way to the tournament on the first day, he met Daewi Han and Mira Yoo who became his best friends. Mori Jin who is 17 years of age and an expert in taekwondo 🥋 is a very skillful fighter who believes in his own abilities and not having a charyeok (borrowed powers) to fight powerful opponents. He was later discovered that Mori his a god, so he doesn't need any charyeok but only needs to unlock his memories to be able to fully utilize his full powers. He also became one of the tournament winners by defeating Taek Jegal who absorbed the power of the KEY, which made Taek rival gods and had the power of the fox 🦊 spirit who destroyed half of the gods realm.
Daewi Han, who is a friend of Mori Jin and also a participant in the GOH tournament. He entered the tournament in order to save his best friend who was dying of cancer in the hospital, so he wanted to get the wish that the GOH winner is entitled to so as to wish his friend free from cancer and have a healthy life. He became one of Mori Jin good friends, and after still loosing his friend to cancer which made him emotionally stressed and depressed, then he became violent in his next match which was against his friend Mira Yoo, but later he finally decided to fight for himself and to win the tournament because he wanted to and he became one of the winners of the tournament.
Mira Yoo, who inherited the moonlight sword 🗡️ style and a good friend of Mori and Daewi, entered the tournament so as to find a successor to the moonlight sword. Her aim was find a successor and marry him then carry the tradition of the moonlight sword 🗡️ style to the future generations. She was among those who defeated Taek but decided to promote the moonlight sword 🗡️ style herself and not depend on anyone to do it for her.
Llpyo Park who is the guardian of the key and uses the fox 🦊 spirit charyeok, uses the ancient Korean fighting style Taekkyon and the only person to beat Taek before he entered the tournament, which made him Taek Jegal biggest rival. He met mujin when he was younger and also coached Mori during a fight in the tournament. He entered the tournament so as to heal his cousin who got injured by Taek during a school tournament and became paralyzed on her legs. He was also a big fan of Mori grandfather and saw Mori as his kid brother.
Taek Jegal who is the antagonist was sold of by his mother to a rich mogul, he was going to inherit an empire and always believed that losers always gets trampled upon by the winners so he made it his life mission to never loose.
In all i would say they had good fights scenes, and that there is more to it . The anime/manhwa deserves a second season as the story line is catchy.
