Chalky percher dragonfly

Amidst the scattered dry twigs and bark fragments, I accidentally caught something interesting perched on one of the branches. I approached it cautiously and cautiously, lest the person sitting there wander away. It was a chalky percher dragonfly, or Diplacodes trivialis in Latin. It's a simple dragonfly from the Libellulidae family.

Behind its simplicity lies its fascination. Its entire yellowish-green body is adorned with black lines that look like a painting. It's truly beautiful. Its wings are equally captivating, transparent and intricately patterned, resembling woven glass. They may appear thin and fragile, but in reality, they hold incredible strength, allowing it to glide nimbly through the air.

Not only that, but its behavior is even more intriguing. It constantly moves from one branch to the next, even moving onto newly grown grass. Oddly enough, when she moved to another branch and my phone hadn't followed her, she returned to her original branch. Her head kept moving, as if she were asking if I was done shooting there. She was truly one of the most unique and interesting models I've ever encountered.
