In a small, rarely noticed corner, I managed to spot some beautiful insects feasting there. There were so many of them, most of them very small and liked to hop here and there. Like this black-kneed conehead grasshopper, it really liked to move around. Although in the picture it looked like it was sitting very still on the leaf, in reality, it liked to hop here and there.
Its slender, long green body blended beautifully with the black and brown on its back. Its long legs looked very sturdy, holding tightly to the leaf it was perched on. Its round, shiny black eyes seemed ready to survey the entire world. Not only that, but its antennae were quite interesting. They were very delicate and long, exceeding its body size.
Not far from the black-kneed conehead grasshopper, I found another insect that was no less interesting. It was a cucurbit leaf beetle, standing quietly on a blade of grass. It was perfectly still standing there, but unfortunately, its very small size and the wind were inviting it to dance, swaying the leaf it was perched on. That made it difficult for me to photograph it. I took quite a few pictures, but only three turned out decent.
Glancing around, my eyes caught the figure of a mysterious creature praying. Its hands were raised and moving, resembling a praying mantis. It was very bold, as I approached, it immediately turned its head toward me. I continued to stare at it, observing its hands, its movements were as if it were asking me to take its picture. It was a praying mantis.
In another corner, a cotton stainer bug stood gracefully, also staring at me. I didn't hesitate long to approach it. Its costume contrasted sharply with the surrounding colors. Orange, reddish orange, white, and black blended beautifully with the fresh green leaves that served as its stage.
