Hübner wasp moth

On a hollow leaf, a tiny moth was resting peacefully. Perhaps it had just completed a long journey, and it looked very tired. It refused to let me approach any closer. As I approached, it immediately gave me a signal, its antennae twitching. Once I got that signal, I stopped approaching it and photographed it from a short distance away.

It was a hübner wasp moth, or amata huebneri in Latin, and it belongs to the erebidae family. This moth is one of the most striking moths, jet black with bright orange stripes. It closely resembles a tiger. Luckily, it's an insect, so I didn't feel intimidated by its approach.

Besides its color, another striking feature about this moth is the transparent windows on both its wings. These windows are oval and a faded orange. When the sun hits them, the unique pattern reflects a beautiful shimmer. Its pair of towering antennae are jet black with white tips. The extremely round black eyes continued to observe the surroundings very calmly.
