In the very, very near future, when you open the door of your house and are greeted by a robot that not only understands what you say, but also expresses emotions, “smiles” with its eyes and is so captivating that it could easily be confused with a futuristic pet. This scene, which seemed like something out of a cartoon, now takes a real shape. with the arrival of the GR-3, the new humanoid robot from Fourier Robotics.

Described as the friendliest robot ever created, it is about to occupy an important space in the lives of families, students and education professionals, but behind that friendly face there is robust engineering that represents the next step in the coexistence between humans and machines.

With a compact design of approximately 1.34 cm in height and a lighter structure than its predecessors, GR-3 was designed to fit, literally and figuratively, within human daily life. Unlike the previous GR-1 and GR-2 models, which impressed with their physical performance and industrial and human care capabilities, the GR-3 goes for a gentler body, ideal for environments where empathy is as important as efficiency.

It inherits the technical precision of Fourier, but adapts its sensors, actuators and joints for more delicate tasks aimed at social interaction. The combination of reduced structure and cute aesthetics is not just visual, it is part of a strategy to make robotics more acceptable, accessible and welcoming, even with its reduced proportions, GR-3 does not skimp on intelligence and functionality.

Its visual sensors and precision motors work in a coordinated manner to execute small gestures such as picking up light objects, pointing directions or reacting to commands with facial expressions and smooth movements. Its internal systems prioritize safety and adaptability, allowing it to move with balance on domestic floors, respond to vocal stimuli and communicate in real time with the environment. All of this is managed by software compatible with open APIs, which will surely attract developers interested in creating custom functions for specific contexts.

The great bet of the GR-3 is in its integrated broad language model, an AI capable of conversing, interpreting emotions and building links with users. It not only answers questions, but recognizes speech patterns, adjusts the tone of the conversation according to the age of the interlocutor and can even remember preferences and habits.

In classrooms this means a tutor with infinite patience, in homes it represents a curious companion, always willing to interact. I know, we are looking at a concept still, but based on the previous versions you can see that this new robot will also become real.

Sorry for my Ingles, it's not my main language. The images were taken from the sources used or were created with artificial intelligence
