Cada mañana, antes de que las puertas del consultorio se abran, ya estoy allí, en el área de inmunización, con mi uniforme bien puesto, mi corazón lleno de compromiso y la firme convicción de que cada vacuna aplicada es un paso hacia una sociedad más sana y protegida.
Every morning, before the clinic doors open, I am already there, in the immunization area, with my uniform neatly pressed, my heart full of commitment, and the firm conviction that every vaccine administered is a step toward a healthier and more protected society.
Mi jornada comienza con un riguroso proceso: revisar cuidadosamente la cadena de frío, organizar las dosis de BCG, Hepatitis B, Pentavalente, Polio (IPV y OPV), Trivalente viral, Fiebre Amarilla y Toxoide, y verificar los esquemas de vacunación individualizados. Todo debe estar listo, porque cada madre, cada niño, cada adulto que llega a este servicio merece ser atendido con respeto, dedicación y amor.
My day begins with a rigorous process: carefully checking the cold chain, organizing the doses of BCG, Hepatitis B, Pentavalent, Polio (IPV and OPV), Trivalent viral, Yellow Fever, and Toxoid, and verifying individualized vaccination schedules. Everything must be ready, because every mother, every child, every adult who comes to this service deserves to be treated with respect, dedication, and love.

Porque ser enfermera no es solo aplicar una inyección. Es mirar a los ojos a una madre primeriza que llega con dudas, es responder con paciencia, es educar, es consolar, es brindar seguridad. Es ser el puente entre la ciencia y la confianza. Y esa confianza, una vez ganada, se transforma en protección para todos.
Because being a nurse is not just about giving injections. It is about looking into the eyes of a new mother who arrives with doubts, it is about responding patiently, it is about educating, it is about comforting, it is about providing reassurance. It is about being the bridge between science and trust. And that trust, once earned, becomes protection for everyone.

En un país donde los desafíos en salud son constantes, mi labor como enfermera en inmunización me ha enseñado que la prevención es resistencia, es esperanza, y es un acto de profundo compromiso social. Ver a un niño sano gracias a sus vacunas, o a una comunidad libre de brotes, es la mayor recompensa.
In a country where health challenges are constant, my work as an immunization nurse has taught me that prevention is resilience, it is hope, and it is an act of deep social commitment. To see a child healthy because of his or her vaccines, or a community free of outbreaks, is the greatest reward.
