Some of you would have heard of Anarchapulco, quite a few of the people I met at Steemfest3 have been before or plan to go again in Feb.
https://anarchapulco.com/
I would have loved to go this year with the whole family, but had to put that idea aside, because we just didn't have the budget for it.
But 2 days ago, I decided to check if they were doing any ticket giveaways! I couldn't find any, BUT I found this!
Copy and pasted from their post:
Anarchapulco is coming up in February, and Roger Ver (Bitcoin.com) has been joined by Vault Logic and Fly App by Airthereum to provide a total of 7 scholarships for young people between 18-25. Additionally, another 3 scholarships have been graciously sponsored by Freos for ages 18-30. This means we have a total of 10 scholarships to award for Anarchapulco 2019! DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION IS JANUARY 6, 2019 AT 11:59 PM (Pacific Time). Just as last year, scholarships will include travel (up to $650) and event passes. You’re on your own for housing accommodations, but there are a number of inexpensive hotels and AirBNBs in the area. We’ll also be happy to help in arranging room sharing and such. (Additionally, if there’s money left over after we cover everyone’s travel expenses, we may be able to help defray some of those housing costs.)
Yes the deadline is very very soon! A part of me is just glad that I found out about this before the deadline, and that I'm 30 and fit the bill.
Even though there's only about 30ish hrs left until the deadline, I still thought I should do this quick post about it anyway, just in case it reaches the right people who'd want to know about this.
I've told a few of my Steem friends who fit the criteria and would want to go, so who knows? We might all get the scholarship 😉
All you have to do is make a video answering the below, and post it on their facebook page.

To apply for a scholarship, please submit a video telling us about yourself, explaining what you hope to gain from the conference, which speakers you’re really looking forward to, what makes you a good candidate, and addressing at least one of the following topics: 1. All of our sponsors are entrepreneurs. What have you learned from the entrepreneurial approach, and do you see yourself taking an entrepreneurial role bringing freedom to the market? What is an existing free market solution to statism that you are currently most excited about, and why? 2. When you encounter people who disagree with anarchy/voluntaryism, how do you deal with that disagreement? Do you argue from first principles, or try an emotional connection, or hope to slowly convince people through interaction? Some people find themselves more comfortable talking to “the left” or “the right” due to cultural or personal factors or experiences - do you find there’s a group of people (or even a “pet issue”) you are able to connect with and bring liberty-oriented ideas to more easily, and can you tell us a little about your personal experience with that? 3. Though we all hope to live a free life of our own, is there any particular area of your life that you find yourself most able to live by example of anarchism/voluntaryism? From peaceful parenting, entrepreneurism, pet issue activism, crypto… where do you find yourself most able to live free by example? Do you have plans to “scale” that to share with others? Post your videos or share a link on this page. Videos should be at least a few minutes long, but please, no more than 30 minutes. DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION IS JANUARY 6, 2019 AT 11:59 PM (Pacific Time). Recipients will be announced by JANUARY 11, 2019. We will tag winners in the announcement post. Again, follow this page and click “See First” to get notifications and updates. Alright, get to it! Looking forward to watching your submissions and meeting you at the conference!
Personally, I'm glad to have a chance of going this year! Thank you to all the sponsors, especially Freos for sponsoring a few spots for us 30 year olds.
So if you're 18-30, and like the sound of this, get a video submission in as well!
See you in Anarchapulco, maybe 😉
Much Love from Red
