Good day Everyone! How was your day today? I want to share with y'all today my participation in the DIYHUB Contest for the month which talks about Peace. I designed some of the symbols of Peace - A dove and the Zodiac sign or symbol of Peace, things that symbolizes peace when being used and I also went on to use a natural element to Design the Symbols - Stones.
So stay tuned as I share the procedures with y'all:
Materials
- Cartons gotten from Trash cans
- Top Gum
- Scissors
- Pencil
- Eraser
- Razor
- Stones
- Super Glue
- Protractor
- Pieces of Cardboard paper
Procedures
Step 1: I got my materials and then I cut out some part of the Carton which I want to use, to get the side I wanted to use for the Process.
Step 2: I drew the shape of the first one which I wanted to handle, which was the dove shape. I drew the shape and then started to cut it out from the carton to make the shape cut out.
Step 3: Then I started off with the second symbol, the sign of Peace. I used my pencil and the Protractor to Draw the sign in the carton.
Step 4: I then went ahead to cut out the round sign of the Symbol bro the carton where it was, then I went on to cut out the other parts of the circle which needed to be cut out in other for me to get the shape of the symbol of peace.
Step 5: I had to add some little design to the symbol of peace, so I then went on to use pieces of a cardboard paper to paste at the back of the symbol for beauty and it really seemed cool too.
Step 6: I thought about beautifying the two symbols, then I searched for white sharp stones and grinded them to get little parts of it.
Step 7: then I applied the top gum at the dove and Sign and then carefully used the stone pieces to place at the top of them.
Step 8: To make it look strong, I applied super glue at the top of them while already placing them on top of the gum, then I placed them under the sun for few minutes.
Step 9: After that, the dove sign and Peace Symbol was ready.
Finally
I added thread to them as ropes and hung it as the entrance door of my home and my family members loved it.
Then this is what it looks like finally.
I hope my procedures help you to recreate the dove and Peace Symbol as it demonstrates peace 🕊️ in a place.
Thank you all... ✍️
