Bernie Sanders, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Jeff Merkley are trying to get fracking, a dangerous oil & gas industry practice to extract natural gas from the earth, banned. The bill itself lists many of the problems that the oil and gas industry has tried to deny and/or cover up, just like the Tobacco Institute lied to the public for decades about the dangers of smoking.
