After work, I walked from Ikegami to Hirama and passed by the Tamagawa River. My friend is temporarily staying in Hirama because he hasn’t been able to sleep in Ikegami for some unknown reason. He asked me to bring his towel since he forgot to pack it.
After delivering the towel, I chatted with him for about 30 minutes, then went home to attend the matsuri taking place near our apartment in Ikegami. It was the second and final day of the festival, so I wanted to try the foods being sold there especially the takoyaki, which I had been eyeing and craving.
It was an epic fail of a night for me since takoyaki cost ¥700 and I only had ¥620 in coins! 😭😭😭 I didn’t want to go all the way back home just to get more coins and return to the temple since it was a bit far. Huhuhu 😭😭😭
I was really hungry, good thing there was another stall selling yakitori for 3 sticks for ¥500. I ended up settling for that instead. Not bad, I guess, since I do love yakitori too. I just had to take my mind off the takoyaki I had been looking forward to… huhuhu 😖😖😖 Next time nalang ☹️☹️☹️
I really enjoyed my first experience at a legit Japanese summer festival. Looking forward to experiencing more and definitely looking forward to finally getting that takoyaki! 🤤😋
