Hoy les presento mi nuevo dibujo surrealista titulado "No seas otra flor"
El dibujo es didicado a la mujer, mujer que debe liberarse o ser salvada, mujer que más que dulces palabras o promesas, necesita ayuda para vivir.
Retrato una muchacha que presenta flores rojas en su cuerpo y detrás de ella se aprecia un fondo refrescante con verdes flores aunque sus tallos son "algo peculiares". Parece que todo está en calma y el retrato sería otra imagen más de rostros femeninos embellecidos por flores pero en la mirada de la mujer no hay placer, hay desafío, rencor, temor; algo está mal. Antes, su rostro no tenía flores, su mirada era radiante y era una mujer alegre pero con las lágrimas, gritos, maquillajes y con el silencio, surgieron las flores rojas que ocultaron el maltrato en ella y le cambiaron la mirada. El surgimiento de cada flor fue aceptada con la esperanza de que su pareja o compañero volvieran a quererla y dejara de lastimarla, precísamente, por esa esperanza, muchas mujeres terminaron en el camposanto y ella pudiera ser otra más si no resiste o se libera.
Los contrastes en el dibujo son claves para entender la tensión y dramatismo. Los valores tonales apreciados en la mujer reafirman la tensión y la oscuridad que la afecta, las flores rojas resaltan y son las que sustituyen el daño de los golpes, la sangre y la violencia mientras contrastan con el verde fondo( alto contraste entre colores complementarios rojo-verde) donde las flores verdes con tallos en forma de cruz además de pequeñas cruces, simbolizan las mujeres víctimas de la violencia.
"No seas otra flor" no solo es un simple dibujo, es el retrato de la cruda realidad que viven muchas mujeres. Es una denuncia contra los femenicidios. Dejar impune el dolor, no luchar por la vida y resignarse a soportar el maltrato es morir en vida, es convertirse en el futuro, en otra FLOR. 😢
Para realizar el dibujo con técnica mixta utilicé: -lápices HB y 2B - lápices de colores rojo y verde - pastel verde - lapicero transformado en portaminas de minas 6B -goma moldeable - cartulina de 34.5 cm x 33.5 cm - hoja de papel para evitar dañar el dibujo y ensuciarme las manos

Today I present to you my new surrealist drawing titled "Do Not Be Another Flower."
The drawing is dedicated to women, to the woman who must free herself or be saved, the woman who, more than sweet words or promises, needs help to live.
I portray a young woman who displays red flowers on her body, and behind her, a refreshing background with green flowers is visible, although their stems are "somewhat peculiar." It seems as if everything is calm, and the portrait would be just another image of a feminine face adorned with flowers, but in the woman's gaze, there is no pleasure, there is defiance, resentment, fear; something is wrong. Before, her face had no flowers, her gaze was radiant and she was a happy woman but with the tears, screams, makeup and silence, the red flowers emerged, hiding the abuse she endured and changing her expression. The emergence of each flower was accepted with the hope that her partner or companion would love her again and stop hurting her. Precisely because of that hope, many women have ended up in the graveyard, and she could be another one if she does not resist or free herself.
The contrasts in the drawing are key to understanding the tension and drama. The tonal values seen in the woman reaffirm the tension and darkness affecting her. The red flowers stand out and are what replace the damage from blows, blood and violence, while they contrast with the green background (high contrast between the complementary colors red and green), where the green flowers with cross-shaped stems, along with small crosses, symbolize the women who are victims of violence.
"Do Not Be Another Flower" is not just a simple drawing; it is a portrait of the harsh reality many women live. It is a denunciation of femicides. To leave pain unpunished, not to fight for life and to resign oneself to enduring abuse is to die while still alive, it is to become, in the future, just another FLOWER. 😢
To create this mixed-media drawing, I used:
· HB and 2B pencils · Red and green colored pencils · Green pastel · A pen converted into a 6B clutch pencil holder · Kneaded eraser · 34.5 cm x 33.5 cm cardstock · A sheet of paper to avoid damaging the drawing and getting my hands dirty
