  3. Inadequate and lacking self-esteem.
  4. Doubt in their own abilities and self-worth.

  10. Difficulty in expressing emotions and vulnerability.

It's important to note that not all children of narcissistic parents may experience all these signs, but they may have some of them.

As children grow into adulthood, they may continue to struggle with the effects of their narcissistic parents in the following ways:

  2. Difficulty in setting boundaries and standing up for themselves in personal and professional relationships.
  3. Struggling with a sense of identity and self-worth, as a result of feeling overlooked and unimportant in their childhood.
  4. Difficulty in expressing emotions and vulnerability, as a result of being invalidated and neglected emotionally by their narcissistic parents.
  5. Difficulty in understanding and managing their emotions, as a result of growing up in an emotionally unstable and unhealthy environment.
  6. Difficulty in trusting others and have the tendency to attract people with similar traits as their parents.
  7. Difficulty in making decisions and lack of assertiveness.
  8. Difficulty in trusting their own judgement and instincts, due to constant invalidation by their parents.
  9. Tendency to attract or be drawn to narcissistic partners.
