Hello, dear friends of Green Zone.
I'm glad to have our friend @neuropoeta back with her Sunday miracles initiative. Since the last initiative, I've been more attentive, or perhaps more conscious, to discovering those small, everyday miracles. As the promoter of this initiative says: there are a thousand ways to be amazed. One of the wonderful things I've been doing these past few days was finishing my series of tips on scholarships. I've been studying the topic for some time now, and I was able to organize a series of projects that I published on Facebook.
The wonder was that satisfaction of having done a job (I wrote about it here yesterday). I didn't think I'd feel so good about having finished the work, but I did. I felt wonderful. Another joy, and one that's related to this, was finding out that our friend @iamberenice was awarded a creative writing scholarship in Paris. I always knew she would go far with her projects. For someone from Latin America, earning a position like this is a success. Not only does it provide the opportunity to grow as a professional, but it also opens doors to the rest of the world. That is a miracle, a marvel, something incredibly good. And if it happens to someone we care about, the joy is magnified. And, for fear of being mistaken and making a corny pun, I'm going to count as an everyday miracle the mere fact of beginning to marvel at being aware of the existence of these miracles.
Truly, finding them, identifying them, is a way of choosing to be happy, of rejoicing in the little things. That in itself is a miracle. Not waiting for big things to happen, like Berenice's trip to France. That's an event. I'm talking about being able to notice the little things: the appearance of a rose bud and then watching it open, little by little. Being able to enjoy the starry sky because the sky isn't cloudy or polluted. Finding a new young poet who surprises you with his poetry. All of this and more is worthy of being considered a miracle. We just need to learn to see it that way and marvel at it. This has made me very happy. Thank you.

Me alegro que regrese nuestra amiga @neuropoeta con su iniciativa de los milagros del domingo. Desde la iniciativa pasada he estado más pendiente, o quizás, más consciente de descubrir esos pequeños milagros cotidianos. Como bien dice la promotora de esta iniciativa: hay mil maneras de maravillarnos. Una de las maravillas de estos días fue terminar mi serie de consejos sobre las becas escolares. Llevo tiempo estudiando sobre el tema y pude organizar una serie de trabajos que fui publicando en facebook.
La maravilla estuvo en esa satisfacción del deber cumplido (ayer escribí del tema aquí). No creí que me sentiría tan bien por haber concluido el trabajo, pero fue así. Me sentí de maravillas. Otra alegría, y tiene que ver con esto, fue enterarme que a nuestra amiga @iamberenice le otorgaron una beca de creación literaria en París. Siempre supe que iba a llegar lejos con sus proyectos. Para alguien que proviene de latinoamérica, ganarse una plaza de este tipo, es un suceso. No solo brinda la oportunidad de crecer como profesional, sino que te abre las puertas al resto del mundo. Eso sí es un milagro, una maravilla, algo increíblemente bueno. Y, si le sucede a alguien a quien tenemos en aprecio, pues la alegría se magnifica. Y, a temor de pecar de equivocarme y hacer un juego cursi de palabras, voy a contar como milagro cotidiano, el mero hecho de comenzar a maravillarme por ser consciente de la existencia de estos milagros.
De veras que encontrarlos, identificarlos, es una forma de elegir ser feliz, de alegrarme por las pequeñas cosas. Eso en sí es un milagro. No esperar a que sucedan grandes cosas, como el hecho del viaje de Berenice a Francia. Eso es un suceso. Hablo de poder notar las pequeñas cosas: la aparición del botón de una rosa y luego ver cómo se abre, poco a poco. Poder disfrutar del cielo estrellado debido a que no está nublado el cielo ni hay contaminación. Encontrar a un nuevo joven poeta que te sorprende con su poesía. Todo eso y más, es digno de ser considerado un milagro. Solo debemos saber verlo de ese modo y maravillarnos. Esto me ha hecho muy feliz. Gracias.
