Welcome to my new hobby - Collecting Hotwheels!

>Hello, how are you? My name is Richard Ogliastre, and I'm 26 years old. Although I've never had the opportunity to write in this community, I was looking for a place to talk about a new hobby I've been dedicating my time to for the past couple of months, and I think this is the perfect place to do it.  **You see, ever since I was a kid, I've always been a fan of Hot Wheels and collecting in general. Although I wasn't very into playing (in the traditional sense), I like to look at the designs and compare them.** Recently, in the midst of a bout of nostalgia, I discovered that these toy vehicles aren't expensive at all, and they're also available in several supermarkets and shopping centers in my city. So, I set myself a small challenge, buying at least one of these cars weekly. That way, I'd have a reason to spend time on the shelves analyzing all the available models and seeing which one I'd choose this visit.  It sounds a little silly, and many people insist they're toys and not real collectibles, but I feel that considering their low price and how difficult it is to find a model I like, they're a perfect and accessible hobby for any young person with a little money. I started in mid-August, and in all this time I've had the opportunity to acquire some great pieces, ranging from the Lamborghini Miura (with which I started my collection) to highly coveted models in today's market, like the Ferrari S90 Stradale, which is part of a collaboration between Ferrari and Hot Wheels, something that hadn't happened in over 10 years.   I spend my free time reading about them online, and I even have an app that allows me to record all the pieces I acquire. There's a whole fascinating culture of Hot Wheels collecting on social media, and they often serve as a distraction from the stress and responsibilities of my adult life.   My criteria for acquiring a new piece is quite simple: I choose what I like: European, American, Asian, vintage, modern, etc. Everything is welcome in my collection as long as I like its design or consider the vehicle to have an interesting history. I currently only have 14 vehicles, but I hope my collection will grow. I have several models on my wish list (like the F1 5-pack or the Ferrari F40) and I know I'll eventually find them in a store.  It's an exciting and accessible hobby, and I recommend it to anyone who loves the world of cars. Mi nombre es Richard Ogliastre y tengo 26 años de edad, y aunque nunca había tenido la oportunidad de escribir en esta comunidad, andaba buscando en dónde hablar sobre un nuevo hobby al que había estado dedicando mi tiempo desde hace un par de meses y creo que este es el lugar perfecto para hacerlo.  **Verán, desde que era un niño siempre he Sido fanático de los hot wheels y el coleccionismo en general, aunque no era muy dedicado a jugar (en términos tradicionales) me gusta ver los diseños y compararlos entre si.** Recientemente, en medio de un ataque de nostalgia, descubrí que estos vehículos de juguete no son para nada costosos, y aparte se encuentran disponibles en varios supermercados y centros comerciales de mi ciudad, por ende, me propuse como una especie de pequeño reto comprar al menos uno de estos carros semanalmente, de esa forma, tenía una razón para entretenerme en los estantes analizando todos los modelos disponibles y viendo cuál sería el escogido de esta visita.  Suena un poco tonto y mucha gente insiste en que son juguetes y no verdaderos objetos de colección, pero yo en cambio siento que considerando su bajo precio y lo complicado que resulta encontrar un modelo que me guste, son un hobby perfecto y accesible para cualquier joven con un poco de dinero. Empecé a mediados de agosto y en todo este tiempo he tenido la oportunidad de hacerme con piezas geniales, partiendo desde el Lamborghini Miura (Con el cual empecé mi colección) hasta modelos que son muy codiciados en el mercado actual como el Ferrari S90 Stradale, que forma parte de una colaboración entre Ferrari y hot wheels, algo que llevaba mas de 10 años sin ocurrir.   Mis tiempos libres los dedico a leer en internet sobre ellos, e incluso tengo una aplicación que me permite ir registrando todas las piezas que voy adquiriendo. Existe toda una cultura de coleccionismo de hot wheels muy fascinante en las redes sociales y muchas veces me sirven como distracción del estrés y las responsabilidades de mi vida adulta.   Mi criterio para adquirir una pieza nueva es bastante simple: escojo lo que me gusta, carros europeos, americanos, asiáticos, antiguos, modernos, etc... Todo es bienvenido a mi colección siempre y cuando me guste su diseño o considere que el vehículo cuenta con una historia interesane. Actualmente cuento con solo 14 vehículos pero espero que mi colección vaya creciendo, tengo varios modelos en mi lista de deseos (Como el 5-pack de F1 o el Ferrari F40) y sé que eventualmente me los encontraré en alguna tienda.  **Es un hobby emocionante y accesible y se lo recomiendo a cualquier persona que sea amante del mundo del automovilismo, y aparte de Hot Wheels existen otras marcas como Matchbox o Maisto que abarcan distintos rangos de precio.**
