Art Blog #17: An Addams Fanart

Yesterday, I finally watched the first two episodes of Wednesday season 2, and because of that, I'm inspired to dedicate a page from my sketchbook to be filled with their characters. The new characters in the first episode were interesting, and I'm looking forward to seeing more as the episode progresses. Since an episode is almost an hour of watching, I decided to watch each episode gradually. Back to the Wednesday page in my sketchbook, I really like how stunning Morticia looks, so I decided that it would be her whom I gonna draw first. So now join me as I share with you the short process of drawing *Morticia Addams*.

**1.** Since there isn't much color on her, I decided to just make a drawing using a pencil only. I first drew the outline based on the screenshot I chose as my reference.  **2.** Then I added details, and because I'm fond of drawing eyes, I decided to finish them first.  **3.** After I'm done with the eyes—I proceeded to her hair, which took quite time.  **4.** I'm almost done with it when I noticed her lips didn't match with my reference, so I erased them and started over it again.  **5.** I was able to draw another lip for her, but then, when I'm about to finish it, I noticed something off about her lips again.  **6.** So for the last time *(today)*, I erased her lips and finally drew the ones that made me satisfied. 

It didn't take an hour or even half to finish this drawing, thus proving that it's indeed the coloring part that is time-consuming. Like I've mentioned, since her character doesn't have much color, I opted for a pencil drawing of her today, but my option for coloring her character will always be open. Further, there are already characters aside from Wednesday that are already on my list to draw—and most of them are characters that really have a lot of colors, *so yeah!* Coloring her along with them would definitely be possible one of these days.
