Today we decided to bathe our kittens. One of them already pooped, and unfortunately, she did in our living room. We’re again at the period of training them to poop, *and yeah*, it’s another months of training in the process. Of course, like the previous cats we’ve bathed, they also are not fond of water, so it was quite hard to get them wet. During the time we were bathing them, they really attempted many times to escape from the basin. Since we’re quite careful not to get ourselves scratched, they really succeed in doing so, but when they calm off, we then get them in the basin again.
Even though we bathe them with warm water as much as possible, we did it fast because we don’t want them to feel cold. When they’re finally done, we dry them, and since they seem restless, we let them dry themselves. It’s evident that they’re quite pissed when we bathe them—especially Chipapi, who gave me a nasty look when I tried to take a pic at her damp body. She’s the one who really meowed so loudly while we’re bathing them, but we paid no heed to that because she definitely needs a bath. She already had a lot of ticks, so she’s our top priority.
Once they’re done drying themselves, I feed them with wet food. Chipapi was really the noisy one among the two—with her loud *nya nya nya* sounds while enjoying her food. I don’t know if it’s hereditary, but the white cats or the cats with the streak of white here are the noisy ones. Their meowing sounds are especially distinct because they’re high-pitched. Maning, for example, our pure white cat—he’s really noisy whenever he needs something, and it’s really unsettling to hear whenever it’s evening.
Enough of their noises and eating time, they then proceeded to their afternoon siesta. At first, they enjoyed basking in the afternoon sunlight that went inside our open windows. They just curled up like a ball for a moment, then later on they went their separate ways. Chipapi went inside our room, and there she lay comfortably on our mat. Even though she’s comfortable there, she still can’t sleep because she keeps on scratching and licking her fur, while Chipipa, on the other hand, was still sleeping in her curled ball position. When Chipapi was done with her grooming, she went again to Chipipa, and there she proceeded to cuddle her sister. Chipipa seems used to it because she went on sleeping unbothered with Chipapi on her back. And that’s how the majority of their Bathurday went.
