Passing Rains

Aside from waking on the bad side of the bed, the weather is something I can't be happy with. It didn't rain during the morning; however, there were nasty winds that somehow bugged me. I was doing the usual chores I do, and because of that wind, doing them became uncomfortable. Plus, our chickens are fussing whenever a strong gust of wind blows, and of course, I need to check them—especially the male ones who always find themselves getting tangled with their ties. ![IMG_20250807_213906.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/ridgette/EoiWCNPBSkDq2KE3BStYjoajGrJHZa9SPVJrR77ZpqKpxFY1Q1g4PH2BE98FjXpAYBn.jpg) Like any other windy morning I experienced, later that afternoon, it rained really hard. I was still doing my chores when it started raining, and because of that, I needed to do them faster. My feelings about rain stay the same, and until now, I still don't like them. However, it's impossible to avoid them, so I tried to cope with them. Just like what I would do in this coming Monday. Honestly, there are a lot of people that I'm better off with, yet since I can't magically zap them gone—*soooo,* I need to somehow learn how to interact with them. Even if it looks forced and unnatural from any angle, interacting with them can be inevitable at times. ![IMG_20250807_214138.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/ridgette/EowGcRQwTTLHLd3npqn8bNFeTxFvyDBDzvNzJQVp854C934QZaDuci5VPmKtR7RCQxF.jpg) Similar to the rains I often encounter these days, they do make me uncomfortable, but on the other hand, some people treasure them. Whether I like it or not, there will be no shortage of people like them in life. It was an unfortunate fact that I had dealt with, but my choice now would always be to face them. I know I wouldn't live this far if I weren't able to cope with every single problem that came my way. And that includes people and stuff I don't like. May it be liars, rains, worms, caterpillars, or papayas—I at some point needed to deal with them. ![IMG_20250807_173543.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/ridgette/EpA2vMdgTkgEiRQQ7vbUrMfCd9d3xbT9zKwWZJ1nN3gsS4GCQk4nfR15pDoEvJfHrhq.jpg) Naturally, I was once at that evasion phase where I just chose to avoid everything that doesn't suit to my preference, yet the rule of life seemed to work the other way. The harder you want them away, the closer they will get to you. That's why later on, I learned how to deal with them head-on. Yes, they weren't always the calm and most ideal ways, but they're better than avoiding them. And so with another academic year coming, I need to refresh my mind and reserve more patience because I know I'll definitely need them. So wish me luck because it'll be another hellis—*year of learning*. ![IMG_20250807_214204.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/ridgette/EoiWE2L7teQeeYqTdLzbe4mQTdTX2ScKEJmPRVGBKMEybgWZJBLVNQmG7f4TrST39B4.jpg) That would be enough venting right now. It's been seven days since the first day of August, and I'm hoping we will have—if not a nice—but at least decent days of this month ahead of us. > Take care everyone :)
