Splinterlands 🐉| Rebellion Epic Cards Upgrade!

 Another week, another Splinterlands Social Media Challenge for players of this web3 NFT card game to share their experiences with the rest of the game community. This week, I'll be sharing my quest to upgrade my epic cards from the Rebellion Rewards collection, continuing my quest for a jackpot in the Splinterlands reward chests. ## The Quest for Epic Upgrades!  [Source: Peakmonsters](https://peakmonsters.com/) I've been talking for a while now about upgrading the deck used in Splinterlands, and one of my goals is to improve my epic cards from the Rebellion Reward set. When you look at the entire collection, they're the ones that have the most impact on matches. They're strong, and some have debuffs to compensate for them and their teams. The problem is that, depending on the match setup, these negatives don't even occur. There are also epic cards that are incredible and have very few or no downsides, like Olivia of the Brook, which has two attack types: melee and magic, with opportunity, good stats, and a low mana cost. We also have the Halfling Refugee, which is an incredible tank for low-mana matches.  [Source: Splinterlands](https://splinterlands.com/register?ref=rimurutempest) Initially, the goal was to get at least one copy of each epic, which has already been achieved. Now, I need to start accumulating epics for the next levels. A while ago, I purchased 6x epic draws towards this path of collecting epics and finally leveling them up. I ended up getting 3 copies of Halfling Refugee, which is my favorite card in the set due to its stats and low mana cost, two copies of Olivia of the Book, which is a great DPS, and a copy of Thanalorian Blade, which is also a good DPS, with 2 melee damage and opportunity. Most are at level 2, since just 4 copies are already possible to upgrade to that level. But for 3 or 4, the number of copies required increases significantly, and since there's been a certain variety of epics in Epic Draws, I'm having trouble leveling them. On the one hand, it's good because the number of all of them is increasing, but on the other hand, it's bad because it will still take a while to level an epic.  [Source: Splinterlands](https://splinterlands.com/register?ref=rimurutempest) Now, recently, combining the seasonal Glint with the Glint that's given at the end of the season, I was able to acquire eight more Epic Draws from the Glint Shop, which, as I mentioned, ended up with different cards. The highlight of this opening was the Night Reaper Gold Foil, now just one more to level it up to the next level. We had another Olivia of the Brook, but then some new cards like the Shock Trooper, which is perhaps the strongest DPS card in this set, with 4 magic damage, good stats (5 HP and 3 Speed), for only 4 mana. Also, a Kha'Zi Conjurer and an Arachne Weaver. --- ## In Search of the Jackpot!  [Source: Splinterlands](https://splinterlands.com/register?ref=rimurutempest) Splinterlands is a card game with NFT mechanics. Previously, players had the chance to obtain very good cards as NFTs, with the option to sell them on the game's marketplace. Now, the big surprise would be finding a Jackpot, which is more common in Majors, but especially in Ultimate Chests. So, in addition to improving the epic cards in the Reward Rebellion set, I'm still trying to find a jackpot, which could include some card booster packs or even a land. My first attempt was with the Major Chests. I acquired about 20 chests to try my luck, but unfortunately, I didn't hit the jackpot this time. However, I did manage to get an epic card, the Shock Trooper, and five rare cards, making the glint expenditure on these chests somewhat worth it. Luckily, at least I got two copies of Dark Arborist Gold Foil and some token merits. ---

## A Busca pelo Upgrade das Épicas!  [Source: Peakmonsters](https://peakmonsters.com/) Já há algum tempo tendo falado nos posts de upgrade do deck usado no Splinterlands, que um dos meus objetivos é melhorar as minhas cartas épicas da coleção Rebellion Reward, porque quando você observa toda a coleção elas são as que mais impactam nas partidas, porque são fortes e algumas tem alguns debuffs nelas e no times para compensar. A questão é que dependendo da configuração da partida, esses pontos negativos nem chegam a acontecer. Ainda, tem cartas épicas que são incríveis e com quase nenhum ou poucos pontos negativos, como a Olivia of The Brook, que tem dois tipos de ataque, melee e mágico, com opportunity, bons status e com um custo baixo de mana.. Temos ainda o Halfling Refugee que é um tank incrível para partidas de baixa mana.  [Source: Splinterlands](https://splinterlands.com/register?ref=rimurutempest) Inicialmente o objetivo era conseguir ao menos uma cópia de cada épica, o que já foi concluído, agora é começar a acumular as épicas para os próximos níveis. Há um bom tempo eu realizei a compra de 6x epic draws rumo esse caminho de juntar as épicas para finalmente upar elas para os níveis a cima. Acabei conseguindo 3x cópias do Halfling Refugee, que é a minha carta favorita por todo o conjunto de status e custo baixo de mana, duas da olivia of the book, que é uma ótima DPS e uma cópia da Thanalorian Blade, que também é uma boa DPS, com 2 de dano melee e opportunity. A maioria está no nível 2, já que com apenas 4 cópias já é possível subir para esse nível, mas para o 3 ou o 4, a quantidade de cópicas necessárias aumenta bastante e como tem vindo uma certa variedade de épicas nas Epic Draws, não estou conseguindo upá-las. Por um lado é bom porque a quantidade de todas estão subindo, mas por outro é ruim porque ainda vai demorar para conseguir upar uma épica. O grande destaque dessa abertura foi a Night Reaper Gold Foil, agora falta apenas uma para conseguir upá-la para o próximo nível. Tivemos mais uma Olivia of The Brook, mas em seguida algumas cartas novas como o Shock Trooper que é talvez a carta de DPS mais forte dessa coleção, tendo 4 de dano mágico, bons status 5 de HP e 3 de Speed, por apenas 4 de mana. Assim, além da melhoria das cartas épicas da coleção Reward Rebellion, ainda tento a chance na procurar de um jackpot, que pode vir dentre os prêmios alguns boosters de cartas ou até mesmo uma land. A primeira tentativa foi nos Major Chests, adquiri uns 20 baús para tentar a sorte, mas infelizmente não foi dessa vez que veio o Jackpot. Entretanto, acabei conseguindo uma carta épica, o Shock Trooper, e 5 cartas raras, fazendo com que o gasto de glint com esses baús tenha compensado um pouco.
