Good friends of steemit! This time I will give my personal opinion on a fact that has disturbed me in the last year about the award of the __OSCARS__ awards in the best animated film category
The Oscars are the most prestigious awards gala that awards the best films for a year (during the award ceremony of the Oscars 2018 will be awarded to the best films of 2017), the most anticipated awards of that night are to see who wins the award for best film of the year, best actor, best actress, best director and best animated film.
Now, my concern is, do English-speaking films only have the right to win in the best animated film category? While it is true that once did not occur and it was in 2002 when a foreign film (they say that to films that do not speak English as an original language) won the award, __Spirited Away__, Japanese film ([fits note that Walt Disney Pictures was part of the production of the movie](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spirited_Away#Production)). And it was until recently the highest-grossing and successful Japanese animated film in the history of that country, surpassed by a movie released in 2016 __kimi no na wa__ (your name in English) which was not even considered for the Oscars award last year.
This fact was so impacted on social networks that for this year five Japanese animation films were pre-selected, but there were none among the truly nominated for the awards. For this year we had a great Japanese animation film called __koe no katachi__ (a silent voice) that covers topics such as [bullying](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/School_bullying), physical disability, suicide, search for redemption and personal acceptance.
In recent times, this award has been like the [gold ball](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ballon_d%27Or) prize given by [FIFA](http://www.fifa.com/), Cristiano wins or Messi, because here wins the film produced by Disney or Pixar. And friends of steemit, this can not continue like this, although it is true that his films are of very good quality the truth is that in recent years his quality has dropped and nowadays Japanese animation films have nothing to envy him, I dare to say that __Kimi no na wa__ is a thousand times better movie than the winner of the prize last year, __Zootopia__.
I ask myself, what do the critics of this category take into account to decide the candidates for the prize? Or it will be that, We must change the name to this prize, of better animated film to better film for children? Since the Disney and Pixar films are more for a children's audience while the Japanese have a more complex story and it would be almost impossible for a ten-year-old child to understand issues like those presented by __Kohe no katachi__ (a silent voice), the argument that the films of Disney or Pixar are more blockbusters is not a solid argument because if we go to that there are movies of super heroes (captain america: civil war, the woman wonder, among others) who were much more blockbusters than __The Shape of Water__ or __Dunkirk__ who are fighting for the best film of the year award.

In short friends of steemit, Japanese animated films deserve to be at least nominated for the award, and the Oscars for me have lost credibility not only because of what happens with animated films but in other categories but it is another issue. For now I recommend that if you are at your disposal and you have the time enjoy these works of art, __Kimi no na wa__ (Japanese film highest grossing film in history) and __Kohe no katachi__.
I hope this post has been to your liking friends of steemis and can give their opinions about it, remember that this is just my personal opinion. Soon you will come more post related to the anime :) Greetings!
