We were all born and raised differently. A person's personality is influenced by their genetic traits and the environment in which they grew up. Some become kind, polite, selfless, patient and due as a result of what they learnt and picked up from their parents and neighbourhood. A kind person must have had an experience with kindness and had to pick it up as a personality growing up. These personalities shape our lives and make us who we are, determining what challenges we can handle and how we approach them.
One of the things that matters most to me in life is helping the needy. It is difficult for me to pass a troubled person or a person who is challenged without wanting to help the person or wishing I could help the person. Sometimes, I believe or I tell myself, that the purpose of my creation was to help others find their way. I grew up having nearly all I needed; my parent were good providers to us, while my father provided, my mother was there to manage efficiently the resources my father brought home. I never knew what it was like to have basic needs. It was very important to my parents that we went to good schools as their children, and our bellies were always full of food. My mother will cook enough food that will not only feed us, but will be enough to feed imaginary visitors.
Having this as part of my childhood, seeing people lacking basic needs or out of school, usually troubles me. If I should get scammed today, it will probably be that the scammer came up with something relating to the lack of basic needs or not being able to afford education. Among the reasons I hope to make millions someday is purely to help out people in need. I have dreamt and imagined myself becoming a philanthropist, helping out the needy in my capacity. I see myself most times as someone kind; sometimes, people tell me that I am a kind person too. I will say kindness is what drives my every action. The issue I might have sometimes with my kindness is that people love taking advantage of this. Mostly, what I tell myself is that they will find someone who will not take it lightly with them in the future, so I let them do what they feel is right in their eyes.
I will say with no doubt that my drive in life is the empathy I have for people, the selfless service I have always chosen over selfishness and the desire for a fair world for everyone.
