When I was growing up, I always thought flowers were the only things that came in bright, beautiful colors. Leaves, to me, were supposed to be just green, the common color of nature. But as I grew older, I discovered a surprise I never expected: some leaves are red, pink, or even a mix of colors, standing out as though they were flowers themselves.
Take, for instance, this plant with both green and pink leaves on the same tree. It feels as though nature dipped its brush in two different colors and blended them together. The green speaks of freshness and life, while the pink adds a cheerful brightness, as if the tree is blossoming without actual flowers.
Then there is the one with only deep red leaves, no green in sight. It glows boldly against the grass and pavement, almost like a flame planted in the soil. It doesn’t need flowers to make a statement, the red leaves themselves are enough to capture attention and admiration.
Together, these colorful plants mix with the green of the environment to create a scene of harmony and beauty. They remind me that nature is full of surprises, and sometimes what we least expect like leaves turning into flowers of their own kind, becomes the most beautiful gift to the eyes.
