Today, I treated myself to another Triple Karmeliet—and honestly, as soon as I poured it, I knew it was a good decision. Golden yellow, creamy foam—it almost looks like someone poured a sunset into the glass. 🌅🍺
And then the first sip.
Bam.
There's a lot going on there. First, the fruitiness – lemon, orange, maybe even a hint of banana (or is that just my imagination?). Then there's a subtle sweetness that isn't cloying, but plays perfectly with the tangy freshness.
Ich habe mir heute mal wieder ein Triple Karmeliet gegönnt – und ganz ehrlich: allein schon beim Einschenken wusste ich, dass das eine gute Entscheidung war. Goldgelb, cremiger Schaum, sieht fast so aus, als hätte man einen Sonnenuntergang ins Glas gezapft. 🌅🍺
Und dann der erste Schluck.

Da passiert echt viel. Erst dieses Fruchtige – Zitrone, Orange, vielleicht sogar ein bisschen Banane (oder bilde ich mir das ein?). Dazu eine feine Süße, die aber nicht nervt, sondern perfekt mit der spritzigen Frische spielt.
In the background, you notice that there's more substance. Wheat, barley, oats – sounds like muesli, but tastes much better. 😉 This makes the beer full-bodied without making you feel full after just two sips.
The finish? Spicy, slightly herbal, almost like a little aftertaste that says, “Well, another sip?” – and of course I say, “Yes, sure!”
In the end, Triple Karmeliet is not an “everyday beer” for me. It's more of an after-work beer, where I sit back, smile a little, and think: Life isn't so bad after all.
Im Hintergrund merkt man dann, dass da mehr Substanz ist. Weizen, Gerste, Hafer – klingt wie ein Müsli, schmeckt aber wesentlich besser. 😉 Das macht das Bier vollmundig, ohne dass man das Gefühl hat, nach zwei Schlucken schon satt zu sein.
Der Abgang? Würzig, leicht kräutrig, fast wie ein kleiner Nachklang, der sagt: „Na, noch ein Schluck?“ – und natürlich sage ich: „Ja, klar!“
Am Ende ist Triple Karmeliet für mich kein „Alltagsbier“. Es ist so ein Feierabend-Bier, bei dem ich mich zurücklehne, ein bisschen grinse und denke: Das Leben ist gar nicht so schlecht.
In short: for me, Triple Karmeliet is the perfect blend of fruity lightness and spicy depth—a beer that you don't just drink, but savor. It is elegant, surprisingly versatile, and always leaves you with that satisfying feeling of “this is exactly how beer should taste.” 🍺✨
