Hello friends of Hive! Yesterday, while I was in Havana, my cousin @soymasha and I went for a walk in Vedado. First, we saw a place selling what I call "barquillas," although here they're called "barquillo" in the masculine sense. It was really good and exceeded my expectations, considering it only cost $50 pesos.

I was really surprised by the new building they built. It looks very sober and elegant, and I love the colors and materials used for its construction. It doesn't really look like a building in Cuba. I see it as something that would easily fit into a Turkish soap opera... but that's just my own crazy idea.

We also enjoyed a beer with my friend César, whom I haven't seen in four years and something. To be honest, I missed him a lot because he's always been there to listen and show his support from afar. After that, we went to Habana Libre... the service there leaves a lot to be desired: slow, there's nothing, and the prices are very high. In this case... I prefer Santiago de Cuba.

To conclude, I have to say that we got hit by a tremendous downpour, all wet, my sneakers are swimming in water, and there's no forecast for them to dry out. It was worth every second, despite this huge disappointment at the end of the day. I loved returning to Vedado.

Hola amigos de Hive! En el día de ayer, aprovechando que me encuentro en la Habana, mi prima @soymasha y yo salimos a dar una vuelta por el Vedado.
Primeramente vimos un sitio donde vendían lo que yo llamo "barquillas" aunque aquí se le diga en masculino "barquillo" la verdad estaba muy bueno y superó mis expectativas teniendo en cuenta que solo costaba $50 pesos.

Me sorprendió muchísimo el nuevo edificio que hicieron , se ve muy sobrio y elegante y me encanta los colores y materiales utilizados para su construcción. La verdad no parece una construcción en Cuba, lo veo que como un edificio que fácilmente encajaría en una novela turca... pero ya esas cosas son locuras mías.

También estuvimos disfrutando de alguna cerveza con mi amigo César a quien hace 4 años y algo no veía. Para ser sincera, le extrañaba mucho pues siempre ha estado para escucharme y mostrarme su apoyo en la distancia. Posterior a eso fuimos al Habana Libre...deja mucho que desear la atención allí, lenta, no hay nada, los precios muy altos, en este caso ...prefiero Santiago de Cuba.

Para concluir he de decir, que nos cayó tremendo aguacero arriba, todas mojadas, mis tenis están nadando en agua y sin pronóstico para secarse. Valió la pena cada segundo a pesar de este gran disgusto al final del día. Me encantó volver al Vedado.
