Good night to all my beloved hive friends ❤️
In this post I will share my experience while traveling or sailing to Pusong Island (a separate island in Langsa city), to get there we can only use boat services, there are many moments that occur from the beginning of the trip until arriving at the island, on the island there is also a densely populated village with floating houses, the residents on the island are also very friendly but the question is how is life on the island which is very far from the city center.? What are their jobs.? What makes this remote island so popular with many tourists? These are some important things that we will discuss thoroughly here
From the center of Langsa city, we have to travel again to the TPI or fish auction place in Langsa city, once there, we only need to wait for the passenger boat which is tasked with picking up and dropping off visitors who want to go to Pusong Island.
At that time I made this trip at 07.00 am, the reason was so that I would have enough time to explore Pusong Island later, I made this trip together with three friends, and luckily when we arrived at the TPI or fish auction place, the boat was already waiting there, so we only had to wait for a few more passengers so that this boat had enough rent to immediately make this trip
After everything was ready, the boat immediately departed, I was so surprised when I heard the price of the boat service to Pusong Island was very cheap, one person only needs to pay for boat rental of around Rp.10,000 rupiah in Indonesian currency or the equivalent of the price of 3 hive at this time, of course This is a very cheap price, even children are not charged a penny, I don't know exactly how far the distance is between TPI and Pusong Island, but this trip takes approximately 15 minutes.
There are so many beautiful views that can be seen on this trip, starting from views of the islands on the riverbank to views of the boats passing by around the river. 15 minutes is not a long time if we are in a happy mood, without realizing it, from a distance Pusong Island has begun to be seen.
From a distance I had seen that this island was not very large, but according to information I got from one of the people on the boat who said that Pusong Island has an area of around 4 hectares with a population of more than thousands of residents, that's why this island is called an island with a densely populated settlement. After 2 minutes passed, we finally arrived at the TPI or fish auction place on Pusong Island.
After getting off the boat, we were immediately greeted by the very friendly locals. In the TPI area or fish auction area, I saw many fishermen engaged in various activities, some were cleaning boats, cleaning fishing nets, and even working together to make large fishing nets, this was a very rare sight for me. At that time, we decided to look for a food stall first to eat and rest.
It can be seen that the houses on this island are very close together, even the alleys look very narrow, life in this village looks very peaceful and serene, after walking for about 4 minutes we finally managed to find a coffee shop that was open
Time continued to pass and we only rested at this coffee shop for about 20 minutes and after everything was finished we immediately continued to explore this island, some of my friends brought fishing equipment because based on the information we got from Langsa residents who said that Pusong Island is also one of the best fishing areas, especially since this is an island surrounded by the open sea.
The first area we visited at that time was the edge of the beach, when we got there we could see the view of a very unique residential area, almost 90% of the houses on this island were made floating on the surface of the water or we could also call this village the largest floating village in the city of Langsa
There I also met small children who were playing in the water or swimming on the beach, they were indeed small children but their swimming skills were extraordinary and beyond reason, they could swim very well and could dive for a very long time, this was not surprising considering that the children here grew up in an aquatic environment or more precisely in an ocean environment.
These little children are also very friendly and very friendly with visitors who come to this island, don't worry they are good children and don't like to beg, even at that time I also had time to chat with some little children there and ask some important things about Pusong Island, according to the information I got from some of these little children's confessions that on this island there are also public facilities such as village offices, mosque buildings, schools, and even a small hospital, initially I still doubted the statements given by these little children, especially since I haven't 100% explored this island, is that true.?
At that time, these little kids only asked me for one thing, which was to take a selfie with me Lol (I was very grateful)
I feel very happy with everything that happened on this island, and I also feel very comfortable to linger here, there is a wise saying that may be useful and beneficial for everyone, namely "where the earth is stepped on, there the sky is upheld" the meaning is that we must be able to adapt, respect, and follow the customs and rules that apply in that place so that everything is safe
