Sala "Carlos Sthor" Museo Nueva Cádiz La Asunción [Esp/Eng]

Hace unos días estuve de visita en el **Museo Nueva Cádiz** de La Asunción, y por supuesto tenía que compartirlo con ustedes para que pudieran disfrutar también de su belleza, pero como la cantidad de cositas que vi eran muchísimas me iba a resultar muy complicado mostrarles todo en un solo post, por lo que decidí separar las fotos y hacer varias publicaciones para mostrarles con detalle mis salas favoritas. >A few days ago I visited the Nueva Cadiz Museum in La Asuncion, and of course I had to share it with you so you could also enjoy its beauty, but as the amount of things I saw were so many it was going to be very complicated to show you everything in one post, so I decided to separate the photos and make several posts to show you in detail my favorite rooms.   Si retroceden algunos posts en mi blog, se encontrarán con la primera publicación sobre el museo, donde les hice un recorrido por las diferentes áreas o salas que tiene, y les conté un poco sobre cada una de ellas, pero en mi visita me encontré con dos salas que me encantaron y tomé un montón de fotografías, para que ustedes que no están cerca puedan disfrutar también de todo lo que vi, y aunque realmente no se enfocan en lo que es la historia de la isla, sino que nos muestran exposiciones de diferentes piezas de arte como esculturas y pinturas de diferentes artistas y con diferentes técnicas, es realmente bella. Y para el día de hoy les quise compartir un poco de lo que se encuentra en la **Sala Carlos Sthor** (cronista gráfico de nuestro estado), una de las salas más grandes y mejor acondicionadas del museo, ya que cuenta con aire acondicionado y una muy buena iluminación que te permite disfrutar del recorrido con toda comodidad.

If you go back a few posts in my blog, you will find the first publication about the museum, where I gave you a tour of the different areas or rooms it has, and I told you a little about each one of them, but in my visit I found two rooms that I loved and I took a lot of pictures, so that you who are not nearby can also enjoy everything I saw, although they do not really focus on what is the history of the island, but they show us exhibitions of different pieces of art such as sculptures and paintings by different artists and with different techniques. For today I wanted to share with you a little of what is in the **Carlos Sthor Room** (graphic chronicler of our state), one of the largest and best conditioned rooms of the museum, as it has air conditioning and a very good lighting that allows you to enjoy the tour in comfort.

      Esta sala como les dije arriba es bastante amplia, y al igual que el resto de las salas tiene en la parte inferior de las paredes paneles de madera tallada que le dan un toque realmente especial, además se encuentran dos sillas de madera de la época de la colonia que se conservan en excelente estado. Con respecto a las obras, las paredes están llenas de pinturas en las que puedes ver reflejados paisajes de nuestra isla, lugares emblemáticos, personajes característicos de esta tierra, y por supuesto mucho de lo que es la pesca artesanal, entre ellas escenas de pescadores, peces y como toque especial el colorido de nuestras aves.

This room as I told you above is quite spacious, and like the rest of the rooms it has carved wooden panels on the lower part of the walls that give it a really special touch, in addition there are two wooden chairs from the colonial era that are preserved in excellent condition. With respect to the works, the walls are full of paintings in which you can see reflected landscapes of our island, emblematic places, characteristic characters of this land, and of course much of what is artisanal fishing, including scenes of fishermen, fish and as a special touch the colorful of our birds.

       Aparte de los diferentes cuadros hay varias esculturas distribuidas en toda la sala, algunas son tallas en madera y otras en piedra, que son mis favoritas siempre, ya que aparte de hermosas, no puedo imaginar todo el trabajo y el tiempo que implica lograr terminar una obra en un material que para mí debe ser muy difícil de trabajar, y de todas las expuestas por supuesto tengo mi favorita, y se trata de **Mary Cruz**, una talla en piedra de un rostro de mujer, de escultor Tomás Cazorla que es simplemente espectacular. Y entre tantas cosas bellas me encontré con un cuadro que nos muestra otro tipo de arte, se trata de un bordado sobre tul de Fabiola Esther, llamado **Alma Florecida** que estaba enmarcada en un marco de madera sin trabajar que le iba perfecto a la obra de la artista, y por supuesto que me gustaron muchas más, pero me tomaría varios posts contarles en detalle de cada una y tampoco quiero aburrirlos.

Apart from the different paintings there are several sculptures distributed throughout the room, some are wood carvings and others in stone, which are always my favorite, because apart from being beautiful, I can not imagine all the work and time involved to finish a work in a material that for me must be very difficult to work with, and of all those exhibited of course I have my favorite, and this is **Mary Cruz**, a stone carving of a woman's face, by sculptor Tomás Cazorla, which is simply spectacular. And among so many beautiful things I found a painting that shows us another kind of art, it is an embroidery on tulle by Fabiola Esther, called **Alma Flororecida** which was framed in a wooden frame that was perfect for the artist's work, and of course I liked many more, but it would take me several posts to tell you in detail about each one and I don't want to bore you.

        Lo que sí me encantaría es que si están en la isla y tienen un poquito de tiempo disponible, no dejen de visitar este museo que la verdad tiene mucho que ofrecer y como dice @ulisesjavier22 está infravalorado, así que depende de nosotros, los que vivimos en la isla darle todo el valor que tiene. Es un lugar que de por sí, solo su arquitectura es un tesoro, y ni hablar de todas las reliquias que se encuentran en sus diferentes salas, que nos cuentan cómo era la vida en esta tierra bañada de sol muchísimo antes de nosotros habitarla, y la verdad es que a mi parecer es súper interesante y especial el poder recorrer y mirar de cerca un poquito de nuestra historia.

What I would love is that if you are on the island and have a little time available, do not miss this museum that really has a lot to offer and as @ulisesjavier22 says is undervalued, so it is up to us, those who live on the island to give it all the value it has. It is a place that in itself, only its architecture is a treasure, not to mention all the relics that are in different rooms, which tell us how life was in this sun-drenched land long before we inhabit it, and the truth is that in my opinion it is super interesting and special to be able to walk around and look closely a little bit of our history.
