Hello Asean Hive!.. Hi to all Hiver’s all over the world!.. How are you all, my dear friends? Does anyone here love to eat in a restaurant that offers Eat All You Can and Eat All You Want Buffet? Let me share with you all today our Eat all you and eat all you want experienced in CABALEN Buffet restaurant. The first ever buffet restaurant in the Philippines.
CABALEN means Kababayan. Cabalen Buffet restaurant originated in Pampanga Philippines. They serve mostly Kapampangan dishes and other Pilipino cuisines. They also serve Thai and Japanese cuisines that you would surely love to eat.
We left home and traveled by Grab ride to explore the SM seaside mall in Cebu. After forty five minutes we arrived safe and sound. Then do window shopping before deciding where we would eat lunch. I have heard about the eat all you can in Cabalen and it makes me interested at the same time,it makes me curious about their restaurant.
Walking around the SM seaside mall makes us tired and starved. Luckily, out of no intention. We ended up in front of a Cabalen restaurant. I told my daughters that we would try to experience eating here in Cabalen Buffet Restaurant. I am glad my daughters agreed.
When we entered the restaurant, a waitress greeted us and guided us to a vacant table. Then she told us that we would eat first before we would pay. Then pointed to us the plates, main dishes, soup, vegetables for salads like sliced lettuce, turnips, carrots and cucumber with the dressings. You would just pick your vegetables and then pour the dreesings on it. They also have sea foods, fried foods, desserts, fruits etc.
They have two kinds of rice, plain rice and fried rice. What attracts me as a filipina is their Lechon kawali. Who can resist the golden brown, crispy outside but juicy inside Pork Lechon Kawali?.. Yummy overload!..
They have drinks but are not inclusive, we pay additional for the drinks. We order Pepsi and Sprite only. We bring with us our water tumbler because I am into water than soft drinks or juices.
I choose plain rice, beef caldereta, groundpork, lechon kawali and beef soup. Also Caesar salad, guso,Tahong and Sapin-sapin kakanin. My eldest daughter ate Siomai, lechon kawali, chorizo, chicken adobo, fried rice, and all the food she tasted. While my youngest daughter eats crab, plain rice, siomai, sapin-sapin and whatever her elder sister added to her plates if she wants to taste it. She stood up and picked one of them.
They have fruits like Watermelon, papaya and bananas. There Sapin-sapin kakanin is very yummy because the sweetness is just right. They have also Ginataan or Binegnit in Bisaya.
They also have Dinuguan, fried Bolinao, beef Balbacua, ginataang shell na Soso, steam vegetables like Bitter gourd, Okra, string beans, eggplant with the sauces. There beringhe ,it was a glutinous rice cooked with meat and many ingredients is yummy but I am not really into it.The food is so many that you would got confused what you would eat.
THEY HAVE for shawarma , all you need to do is make your own or pick those ingredients you like for your shawarma then wrap it.
Bulalo soup or Sabaw
They have Restaurant buffet policies which are no food sharing, no take out, no left food on the plates .
While we are eating, there are people standing outside waiting to have an available table. The restaurant was already full and yet many people were waiting just to dine in the CABALEN buffet restaurant. For me this is proof that CABALEN is really one of the best restaurants for Filipinos. They also have a very accommodating staff that would assist or help you. Good ambience, a place that is worth patronizing.
We all enjoyed our lunch as a family bonding. The food was well seasoned and yummy that made us full. For only $9 or 498 pesos You can enjoy there unlimited foods. I found out that they have a birthday promo. A birthday celebrant can dine for free if he or she has 3 adult companions. We planned that maybe on my birthday next month we would dine again here in Cabalen Buffet Restaurant.
