Hello Everyone! Hope y'all are doing amazing. This is post is a very special post because ya boy has finally got out of Bronze.

Today I’m super excited to share something I’ve been working toward for a while — I’ve finally been promoted from Bronze League to Silver League in Wild Ranked Battles! This milestone means a lot to me, not just because it’s a new league, but because of all the progress, strategy, and battles that got me here.

In this post, I'll be talking about some of my battles, how I climbed from Bronze to Silver, the cards I rented and I've learned along the way.

Bronze

When I first started, it was really tough because I didn't know lots of important things. I relied mostly on basic cards and free-to-play options, playing with what I had. I didn't always win, lost most of the games to be honest, but each loss and each win taught me something. Like, how to position my units better etc.

The biggest struggle in Bronze was consistency. You can win two battles, but lose the next three. It was really frustrating at times. But, I didn't give up and I kept playing and kept learning from every result.

Card Rentals

Renting cards is the main reason that helped me get out of bronze. Before renting cards, I only played with what I had. But, when I started renting some cards, it totally changed my game. I started winning consistently. Instead of using random lineups, I focused on building strong synergies. Renting cards is one of the best ways to level up faster in Splinterlands without spending too much DEC or credits.

These are my cards that I've rented so far:

Some of the cards that really helped me were:

  • Kelya Frendul (Water Summoner)

  • Sea Monster (Water unit)

  • Djinn Oshannus (Water unit)

  • Axemaster (Water unit)

  • Venari Wavesmith (Water unit)

  • Creeping Ooze (Neutral unit)

With these cards, I started winning battles I used to lose.

Ranked Battle

Here are some screenshots of one of my battles with the rented cards:

In most of my games with ideal mana cap battles, my team format was as follows:

Summoner: Kelya Frendul

  • First Position: Sea Monster

  • Second Position: Djinn Oshannus

  • Third Position: Venari Wavesmith

  • Fourth Position: Axemaster

  • Fifth Position: Coastal Nymph

  • Sixth Position: Creeping Ooze

I picked Sea Monster because of it's really large health and it's high attack power. Plus, because of it's abilities, whenever it takes damage, it deal 2 damage back to the attack, also he gains health each round. This makes it really hard to go down.

My second position is Djinn Oshannus because of it's very high speed and health. Furthermore, it's abilities is what makes it really special. Void makes him take 50% less magic damage, Phase makes magic attacks have the same chance to miss as physical attacks and Forcefield makes attacks dealing 5Ven damage or more instead deal 1 damage.

Venari Wavesmith is also a really good mage unit. It has support abilities that gives +2 armor to all allied units and removes magic buffs after a successful attack.

Axe Master and Coastal Nymph are my two high damage ranged attackers. They have really good abilities like Axemaster has Double Strike which allows it to attack twice each turn and Coastal Nymph has Affliction which is an anti-heal ability, it has a 50% chance to apply Afflicted after a successful attack. Afflicted units cannot be healed.

Lastly, my sixth position is Creeping Ooze. It doesn't really has the best stats, however with it's ability it works as if you've got two summoners in your team. It has Slow ability which decreases speed of enemy units by 1. It's a really good addition to my team because my team is high speed based. So, slowing the enemy team means you have even better chance to dodge their attacks.

Promotion

Finally, after many battles, I got promoted to Silver. That moment was something else. Everything was worth it, the efforts, the battles, the rentals, the small victories.

In Silver league, the battles are a bit more tense than Bronze. The players are better and smarter and the competition feels real. But, the rewards are better as well. Now I can earn higher rewards, claim better daily chests, and even start thinking about upgrading my own cards instead of renting everything.

What I learned

I learned lots of things during the progress:

  • Don't just rent cards because they look powerful or they are expensive. Rent cards that fit your team strategy.

  • Focus on rulesets because rulesets can change the result of the battle.

  • Play consistently. Even if you lose, don't give up because each loss teaches you something and that something can help you big time.

Conclusion

In conclusion, reaching Silver or any promotion, it's not just about having the most powerful and high mana cost cards. It's about planning and strategizing your battles with different synergies. You just need good strategy, good rentals and consistency.

So, to all my fellow Bronze players reading this, keep pushing, keep learning, and you’ll be in Silver before you know it.

That’s all for this post! I’ll be back tomorrow with another one, so stay tuned and follow my Splinterlands journey.
