Hello Everyone! Hope y'all are doing amazing. Today, I made some delicious Aloo Paratha (Potato Stuffed Flatbread) for lunch. The recipe breakdown is as follows.

About Aloo Paratha

Aloo paratha is a paratha stuffed with potato filling native to South Asia. The English name for "aloo paratha" is potato stuffed flatbread. The name comes from Hindi/Urdu words, where "aloo" means "potato" and "paratha" means an "unleavened layered flatbread"

Ingredients

The quantity of the ingredients depends on the amount of people you are making for and how much you are making. Here, I'm making for 3 people (including myself) and also some leftovers for dinner as well. So, I made about 8 parathas.

  • Red Chilli Powder and Chaat Masala

  • 6 medium sized Potatoes

  • Salt

  • 1 bunch Scallions and Chives

  • 5 Dough and some Flour

  • Cooking Oil

Preparation

  • Start my mashing the potatoes and throwing some Red Chilli Powder, Chaat Masala and Salt on the mashed potatoes.

  • Then cut the scallions and chives in small pieces and throw them on the mashed potatoes.

  • After that mix them thoroughly with your hands (you can also use a spoon). It mixes well when done with hands but do make sure to wear a plastic glove so that the chilli powders don't go inside your nails.

  • Then start preparing the Paratha. Start by cutting and rolling the dough and gently make small puffed circles.

  • Then turn the heat on under the pan so that the pan gets warm. Make sure it's on low to medium heat.

  • Take 2 small circled doughs then take the rolling pin and start rolling it on them.

  • Now using a spoon, throw 2 spoonful of mashed potatoes on one of the doughs.

  • After that take the other dough and put it on the first one.

  • Then properly press the edges so that both of them sticks together.

  • Then again use the rolling pin and roll it on them until it gets this big.

  • Pour little bit of cooking oil on the hot pan and gently put the stuffed dough on it.

  • Then with the help of kitchen tongs, check it again and again if the bottom side has turned golden brown.

  • Then pour little bit of cooking oil on the Paratha and then flip it.

  • Do the same with the other side.

  • When both sides has turned golden brown, put it on a sheet of paper.

Final Result

And, Voila! This is Aloo Paratha. An easy to make recipe and it tastes absolutely delicious! You can have it for lunch, dinner or breakfast. You can enjoy it with sauces of your choice to make it even tastier.
