So, the plan: I bought a collection of CV land parcels, and set up a Colony DAO. - alienhoney.art [CV Parcel Central Link] - alienhoney.org [Colony DAO Link]
Then I spread out ownership of those Parcels amongst a small collaborative group of moderators. Since then, the parcels have been in development and preparation for a premiere show.
The pink areas are places that we own. The blue areas are places that we ought to own, if the project is viable. No other spots in that immediate area are for sale right now, but there are some more open spots in the proximity.
Idea is to make the properties we have a fluid large scale gallery space, that is coordinated for project based shows.
For example, my graphic novel, which is going to be around 107 pages of unique 1/1 NFTs will be able to be displayed in some format -- as a collection for auction, throughout those properties.
In addition to this, we have two active art communities here on HIVE that are involved in the project: - Alien Art HIVE - Onchainart Both have strong curation backing for reward pool distribution, and both have talented, regularly producing artists.
Some of the artists are already involved in NFT work, and some are not.
I see these artists as a pool of potential candidates for participation within the gallery schedule, as a reward for executing project challenges.
The function of this will be as follows: - divert 5%-10% of sales funds to alienhoney.org -- the Colony DAO. - Help those people raise funds to purchase their own gallery spaces - Train them on how to organize their own project based shows, and drive traffic to them. - Allow another avenue of monetization in ETH in addition to the monetization they receive by posting to HIVE - To increase the skill sets and fortitude of artists within those HIVE communities - which in turn, increases the resilience of the HIVE platform.

Each artist who organizes a show there will be able to decide where they want to upload and sell their artwork, and it will change depending on what can be accessed by each artist on whatever platforms are listed at the top of the article.
I personally plan on a two pronged approach: - I'd like to create a single 1/1 for each platform above, and give them each an opportunity to demonstrate to me the unique value of their native collector traffic.
If this works, and they manage to produce sales, then wonderful. If it doesn't work, and they do not produce sales, then that's fine too.
This will be taking place during the time when I am auctioning off the 100+ page 1/1 collection for my graphic novel using a bundle / 3-7 day auction on Opensea.

- I'm aware that sharing my desire to buy that land from Whaleshark Pro is a bad business move, as well as sharing my intentions to use the native collector traffic from [BAE / Superrare / Makersplace / Knownorigin] as bait to direct traffic to an area of greater economic value to myself is something that I shouldn't be broadcasting publicly -- but how will we grow unless we talk about these things?
The difference in question is basically:
Is the 20% taken by [BAE / Superrare / Makersplace] worth the amount of native traffic that is gained from posting on their platforms?
OR
Can traffic be directed to a cryptovoxels gallery while using opensea, and derive a similar or superior outcome with 17.5% less of a cut taken out of the entire collection.
Let's get romantic and dreamy for a moment, and imagine the value of a 100 page graphic novel art collection sold at .1 per page to be 10 ETH. It's a bit underpriced, but the question is basically, is it worth 1.75 ETH to move those collections on BAE?
And can BAE even handle 100 1/1 NFT pages in one auction collection at the moment?
I would argue, not as easily as I can do it myself on Opensea -- with the exception of the unknown amount of native traffic on BAE / Superrare / Makersplace.
And that being said, Makersplace ghostbans me and charges 15% for using the platform -- transaction fees are currently waived. Which means I would need to direct all of my own traffic to the platform AND give them 15%.
So the next natural question is -- WHAT IF I was able to make each page of my comic high resolution GIFs with limited animation.
I could do that on Opensea as well, though I'm not sure what the upper limits are for the size.

I might be able to pull .2 ETH per page for the whole collection. Which would be enough to recover the 18 ETH seed investment for the AlienHoney.art parcels.
