Nací en la isla de Margarita y siempre he vivido en ella junto a mi familia; a Hive llegué hace 5 años donde he conocido a gente maravillosa. Será un placer conocer a los miembros de esta bonita comunidad. Al leer de la iniciativa Tu lugar favorito en la isla, no dudé ni por un instante de sumarme. Desde ya les digo, chicas, cuenten con mi granito de arena para hacer de esta comunidad algo especial.

I was born on Margarita Island and have always lived there with my family. I joined Hive five years ago, where I have met some wonderful people. Hablar de un lugar favorito en Margarita sería injusto, porque todos los lugares de la isla son hermosos. Obviamente, hay mucha naturaleza, lo que me fascina. Me encanta cada rincón, sus playas y montañas, especialmente las montañas. Los amaneceres y atardeceres son incomparables, las lunas llenas sobre el mar y la majestuosidad de sus aves volando por el cielo. Me encantan los pueblitos de ensueño, los centros comerciales, las calles y avenidas de Margarita, las plazas y los sitios históricos. Talking about a favorite place in Margarita would be unfair because all the places on the island are beautiful. Obviously, there is so much nature, which fascinates me. I love every corner, its beaches and mountains, especially the mountains. The sunrises and sunsets are immeasurable, the full moons over the sea, and the majesty of its birds soaring through the sky. I love the dreamy little towns, the shopping centers, the streets and avenues of Margarita, the squares, and the historical sites. However, I know that this initiative is about one place in particular, and I would say that my favorite place would be any beach from which I can watch the rays of the sun fade away at sunset.
El fin de semana pasado, mis primos, mi hija y yo fuimos a playa El Agua, una extensa franja de arena blanca y mar cristalino con muchas olas, situada en el mismo municipio donde vivo, Antolín del Campo. Salimos ya avanzada la tarde porque demoramos mucho en preparar la comida. Hace mucho calor en esta época del año y solo queríamos darnos un chapuzón para refrescarnos. De camino a la playa, tomamos una carretera poco conocida y saqué una foto del Guayamurí, una hermoso cerro con forma de volcán. Mi prima condujo por las playas vecinas, como El Cardón, El Tirano, Puerto Abajo y Parguito. Finalmente, llegamos a tiempo para nadar y ver desaparecer los últimos rayos del sol, ¡qué bendición!
Last weekend, my cousins, my daughter, and I went to El Agua beach, a long stretch of white sand and crystal clear sea with lots of waves located in the same municipality where I live, Antolín del Campo. We left late in the afternoon because we took a long time making lunch. It's very hot at this time of year, and we just wanted to go for a dip to cool off. On the way to the beach, we took a little-known road and I took a photo of Guayamurí, a beautiful volcano-shaped hill. We drove along the neighboring beaches such as El Cardón, El Tirano, Puerto Abajo, and Parguito. What beauty! Finally, we arrived in time to swim and watch the last rays of the sun disappear.
Margarita es una isla preciosa con muchos lugares que visitar y que se conviertan en nuestros favoritos; no hay límite para ello. Desde una playa exótica hasta una calle pintoresca en un pequeño pueblo. Como en cualquier región, por supuesto hay lugares con potencial para convertirse en favoritos, es decir, con algunos problemas, pero que de ninguna manera eclipsan su belleza. Margarita is a beautiful island with many places to visit and make our favorites; there is no limit to it. From an exotic beach to a picturesque street in a charming little town. Like any region, of course there are places with the potential to become favorites, that is, with some problems, but they in no way overshadow its beauty. Together, as a community, we will showcase every corner of our island to anyone who has not yet had the pleasure of visiting it, so that they too can become enthusiastic about it.
