Greetings, friends of The Anime Realm! It's a pleasure to be with you once again. On this occasion, I would like to share my opinion and review of an anime I saw recently and really liked, Death Parade (Desu Paredo), an interesting psychological anime from 2015 created by Yuzuru Tachikawa.
What stands out most from the beginning is its premise, which tells us that when two people die at the same time, they are sent to a remote place, in this case the Quindecim pub. There, they are welcomed by Decim, a bartender who acts as both host and judge. The deceased, although they do not yet know that they have died, must participate in a game in which, in one way or another, they will be forced to show the darkest side of their souls. Whoever wins will be reincarnated, and whoever loses will go into the void. In addition to this particular bartender, there are other judges and even a kind of intern.

En esta ocasión deseo compartir mi opinión y reseña de un anime que vi últimamente y que me gustó mucho, se trata de Death Parade (Desfile de la Muerte), un interesante anime del género psicológico del año 2015 creado por Yuzuru Tachikawa.
Lo que más llama la atención desde el inicio es su argumento que nos dice que cuando dos personas mueren al mismo tiempo son enviadas a un lugar recóndito, en este caso la taberna Quindecim. En este lugar son recibidos por Decim un barman que funge como anfitrión y a la vez como juez. Las personas fallecidas, aunque ellos no saben aun que han muerto, deben participar en un juego en el que, de una forma u otra, se verán forzados a mostrar el lado más oscuro de sus almas, quien gane reencarnará y quién pierda irá al vacío. Además de este particular barman hay otros jueces e incluso una especie de pasante.
If we pay close attention to each episode, we will realize that the series and its premise have a deep plot that deals not only with the implications of our behavior and attitudes during our time on earth, but also with the complexity for judges when deciding on the fate of human souls from a truly fair standpoint.
In this story, there is no typical distinction between good and evil. Rather, it suggests that human beings have their moments, some more noble and others darker, depending on the complexity of the situations they experience, and also depending on the values and moral principles instilled in each person. Therefore, it is extremely difficult to judge someone until you know their motivations well, and even then, it remains a very complicated task to make a fair judgment.
Si prestamos bien atención a cada capítulo nos daremos cuenta de que la serie y su premisa tienen una trama profunda y que lidia no solo con las implicaciones de nuestro comportamiento y actitudes durante nuestro tiempo terrenal, sino también la complejidad para los jueces a la hora de decidir sobre el destino de las almas de los seres humanos desde una postura realmente justa.
En esta historia no hay una distinción típica entre el bien y el mal, mas bien nos da a entender que el ser humano tiene sus momentos, algunos más nobles y otros de oscuridad, dependiendo de la complejidad de las situaciones que le toca vivir, y también dependiendo de los valores y principios morales inculcados en cada persona, por lo tanto, es sumamente difícil juzgar a alguien hasta no conocer bien sus motivaciones e incluso así sigue siendo una tarea muy complicada emitir un juicio ecuánime.
In my opinion, this series has aged very well, as it presents elements and symbolism that capture the viewer's attention in each episode, allowing us to maintain our interest in the events and our desire to understand the different stories of each character, whether they are the ones on trial or the judges themselves.
I invite you to watch this series, which consists of a single season of 12 very interesting episodes that are not to be missed and also features a very danceable and fun opening that contrasts with the enigmatic plot of the series. Thank you for joining me here, see you soon with another review.
A mi parecer esta serie ha envejecido muy bien ya que nos presenta elementos y simbolismos que llaman a la atención del espectador en cada episodio, lo que nos permite mantener el interés en los acontecimientos y el deseo de comprender las diversas historias de cada personaje, ya sean los que serán juzgados o los mismos jueces.
Los invito a ver esta serie que consta de una sola temporada de 12 episodios muy interesantes, que no tienen desperdicio y que además cuenta con un opening muy bailable y divertido que contrasta con la trama enigmática de la serie.
