Happy start of the week, Hive Open Mic family! I greet you in week 275 to join you, expressing myself through music and enjoying the energy of this community. This week's theme is “Let's Go for a Coffee”, a topic that sounds thought-provoking to me.
When I read or hear the expression “let's go for a coffee”, the first thing that comes to my mind is a moment of relaxation and tranquility to talk and reflect on a topic, either among friends, family or couple. The topic to be discussed could be something random to pass the time, or it could be a problem that can be solved through the gift of the word, that is to say, an effective communication. I think it is important to exhaust all rational resources before making decisions lightly without considering the perspectives and feelings of those involved.
With this in mind, today I would like to share with you a cover of the song No Need to Argue, by the Irish alternative rock band The Cranberries, from their 1994 album of the same name. The song tells us a story in which a couple tends to argue a lot and that is wearing them out; one of them would like to have done more to return to the path of harmony, as when someone says let's go for a coffee and talk calmly, so we could smooth the rough edges present in the relationship through good communication and try to regain the concord necessary to move forward, however, in this case it seems a little late. ¡Feliz inicio de semana, familia de Hive Open Mic! Les saludo en la semana 275 para acompañarlos, expresándome a través de la música y así disfrutar de la energía de esta comunidad. La temática de esta semana es “Tomemos un Café”, un tópico que me suena a reflexión.
Cuando leo o escucho la expresión ‟vamos por un café”, lo primero que me viene a la mente es un momento de relax y tranquilidad para conversar y reflexionar sobre algún tema, ya sea entre amigos, familia o pareja. El tema a tratar pude ser algo al azar para pasar el rato, o bien puede ser una problemática que se puede solucionar a través del don de la palabra, es decir, de una efectiva comunicación. Pienso que es importante agotar todos los recursos racionales antes de tomar decisiones a la ligera sin considerar las perspectivas y sentimientos de los implicados.
A propósito de esta temática hoy les quiero compartir un cover de la canción No Need to Argue (No es Necesario Discutir), de la banda de rock alternativo irlandesa The Cranberries, perteneciente al álbum homónimo, publicado en 1994. La letra nos relata una historia en la que una pareja tiende a discutir mucho y eso los va desgastando; uno de ellos desearía haber hecho más para retomar el camino de la concordia, como cuando alguien dice vamos por un café y conversemos calmadamente, así se podrían limar las asperezas presentes en la relación mediante una buena comunicación y tratar de recuperar la harmonía necesaria para salir adelante, sin embargo, en este caso parece un poco tarde. Sin más, espero que les guste mi presentación.
