Greetings, friends who love to live entertaining weekend experiences! It’s a pleasure to greet you. On this occasion I’m writing to share a little about my experience some weekends ago at La Ribereña bathing and recreational area on the banks of the Santo Domingo River in the city of Barinas, in the western plains of Venezuela.
It turns out that I was visiting my maternal family and during one of those visits to a cousin's house, she told me that this place was nearby, enabled for the enjoyment of the locals. Although I did not go with the intention of bathing, I did want to take a walk around to see how the weekend atmosphere in this recreational area was going.
When I got there, I could notice a very cheerful atmosphere, live music, fast food stands and above all people willing to cool off on the river bank to alleviate the heat, typical of this city. I have known this river since I was a little girl and I have visited several bathing areas located on its banks in different parts of the city, however, I could notice that in this particular bathing area the water flow of the river was not very high, probably because it had not rained enough in the headwaters. However, this was no reason for visitors not to go into the waters to enjoy a swim.
This river is a very important body of water in the region, its source is located in Merida state, next to the Barinas state and I remember having the opportunity years ago to take a tour in the town of Mucubaji and see firsthand the spring that gives birth to this great river.
Something that caught my attention while I was taking my stroll, was to see that the security and civil protection forces were deployed in the area to provide assistance to visitors, if necessary, that seemed to me a very favorable point. In general, I liked to see the atmosphere that is lived on weekends in this area for the enjoyment of locals and visitors. Thank you all for accompanying me here.
