Hello to all who love traveling or small trips! Yesterday I traveled to a place that Oriella, the daughter of my ward Milena, told me about. I was interested in this information and I wanted to put it into practice. I had a day off from work and in the morning I left for Treviso. This was point A. I changed buses and drove another 45 minutes to Oderzo, admiring the surrounding landscapes. The road passed between fields, either newly sown or green, on which wheat had already sprouted. The villages replaced each other, the scenery outside the window changed. That's how I got to point B. And I still had to go to point C. Unfortunately, there were few flights to Portobuffale and I had to wait an hour and a half. But there was a wonderful bar nearby where you could rest, eat and drink coffee. This activity calmed me down a bit. But there was still plenty of time and I went to the supermarket. Just walk, look around to pass the time. The bus arrived and I, sitting in a comfortable chair, went to the medieval village of Portobuffale. This small village is located almost on the border between the provinces of Veneto and Friuli Giulia. Time seems to have stopped here. I enter the village through the bridge and the Porta Trevisana gate. The bridge and gate were destroyed in 1918. Now everything has been reconstructed and looks beautiful. Beautiful flowers are planted on the stone railings. The historic center is surrounded by a wall and a moat. The moat is without water, but at one time it created an obstacle for enemies. Right behind the gate is a small cozy square, Piazza Beccaro. On this square are houses with exquisite facades, painted with frescoes. The Civic Tower rises above the square. Inside is a museum of the history of the village, crafts of this area. I would have been happy to visit this museum, but it turned out to be closed. Like the tower itself... I looked around the buildings, among which the town hall stands out, took a few photos and moved on. The only open object in this deserted village was Casa Gaia da Camino. It is a three-story building, resembling a tower in its shape. The elegant facade is decorated with lotus-shaped windows. The first floor of the house was intended for the servants' quarters and there is nothing interesting here. But on the upper floors, where the owners, nobles, lived, I saw the famous frescoes of the 14th century. They are well preserved. The frescoes depicted pictures from the life of that time. You can see clothes, equipment of soldiers, animals, etc. I also looked at an exhibition of paintings by artists of this region. The palace belonged to the noble Camino family, who became the patrons of this smallest village. Donna Gaia was immortalized in his poem by Dante. Her name is mentioned in verse 16 of Purgatory. Entrance to the museum costs 3 euros. On the side of Piazza Beccaro is the Parish Church of St. Mark the Evangelist. Until the 16th century, a Jewish synagogue stood on this site. After all, there was a fairly large Jewish community in Portobuffale. But when the Jews were expelled from the village under fabricated reasons, the church began to be reconstructed and consecrated in 1559. The church is in the Gothic-Romanesque style. I liked the organ located in the main altar. This organ dates back to the 17th century. Above the organ is the coat of arms of Portobuffale. I walked slowly along the cobblestones of these narrow streets, looking at the houses, windows, doors... the village is very clean. And deserted... if I wanted to ask something, there was no one. The village without a single shop. The only trattoria, and that was closed! interesting things can be bought here. Every buyer can find what he needs. I came across Ghetto Square. A small square, like all the others. Surrounded by houses. Everything is very compact. The village comes to life on the second Sunday of every month when the antique market opens. Here you can find everything your heart desires. Books, records, porcelain, clothes, furniture, jewelry and many other interesting things can be bought here. Not far from the historic center is the Villa Cellini Giustinian. This villa is closed to tourists for reconstruction. I could see it through the closed gate. A beautiful, white, large villa... unfortunately inaccessible. On the side of the villa is the Oratory of Saint Teresa. It is also closed. I know that inside there is beautiful decoration and works of local artists. A well-groomed and preserved village with its architectural objects, due to such inaccessibility to them, repels tourists. And they bypass this place. It's a pity...

Вчора я помандрувала до місця, про яке мені розповіла Орієлла, дочка моєї підопічної Мілени. Мене зацікавила ця інформація і я хотіла втілити її в життя. В мене був вільний від роботи день і я вранці виїхала до Тревізо. Це був пункт А. Поміняла автобус і ще 45 хвилин їхала до Одерцо, споглядаючи навколишні краєвиди. Дорога проходила то між полями, щойно засіяними або зеленими, на яких вже заколосилася пшениця. Села змінювали одне одного, мінялися картини за вікном. Так я добралася до пункту В. А ще треба їхати в пункт С. Як на зло рейсів до Портобуффалє було мало і потрібно було чекати півтори години. Але поряд був чудовий бар, де можна було перепочити, поїсти і випити кави. Це заняття трохи мене заспокоїло. Але часу було ще чимало і я вирушила до супермаркету. Просто походити, пороздивлятися щоб минув час. Автобус приїхав і я сидячи в зручному кріслі їду в середньовічне село Портобуффалє.
Це невеличке село розташоване майже на кордоні між провінціями Венето і Фріулі Джулія. Час тут ніби зупинився. Я заходжу в село через міст і ворота Porta Trevisana. Міст і брама були зруйновані в 1918 році. Зараз все реконструйовано і має гарний вигляд. На кам'яних перилах посаджені красиві квіти. Історичний центр оточений муром і ровом. Рів без води але він свого часу створював перепону ворогам. Зразу за воротами знаходиться невелика затишна площа Piazza Beccaro. На цій площі розташовані будинки з вишуканими фасадами, розписаними фресками. Над площею височить Громадська вежа. Всередині знаходиться музей історії села, ремесел цієї місцевості. Я б із задоволенням відвідала цей музей але він виявився замкненим. Як і сама вежа...
Я оглянула будинки, серед яких виділяється ратуша, зробила кілька фотографій і рушила дальше. Єдиним відчиненим об'єктом в цьому безлюдному селі була Casa Gaia da Camino. Це трьохповерховий будинок, що нагадує своєю формою вежу. Витончений фасад прикрашений вікнами у формі лотоса. Перший поверх будинку був призначений доя обслуги і тут немає нічого цікавого. А от на вищих поверхах, де жили власники, вельможі я побачила знамениті фрески 14 століття. Вони добре збереглися. На фресках були зображені картини з життя цього часу. Можна розгледіти одяг, спорядження воїнів, тварин тощо. Також я переглянула виставку картин художників цього регіону. Палац належав знатній родині Каміно, які стали патронами цього найменшого села. Донну Гайю увіковічнив у своїй поемі Данте. Її ім'я згадується в 16 вірші Чистилища.
Вхід до музею коштує 3 євро.
Збоку на площі Беккаро розташована Парафіяльна церква Святого Марка Євангеліста. До 16 століття на цьому місці стояла єврейська синагога. Адже в Портобуффалє була досить велика єврейська громада. Але коли під видуманими причинами євреїв було вигнано з села, церкву почали реконструйовувати і висвятили в 1559 році. Церква в готично романському стилі. Мені сподобався орган, що розташований у головному вівтарі. Цей орган датується 17 століттям. Над органом розміщений герб Портобуффалє.
Я непоспішаючи крокувала бруківкою цими вузенькими вуличками, розглядаючи будинки, вікна, двері... в селі дуже чисто. І безлюдно... якби хотів щось запитатися то нема в кого. Село без єдиного магазину. Єдина траторія і то зачинена!
Натрапила на площу Гетто. Невеличка площа, як і всі інші. Оточена будинками. Все дуже компактно.
Село оживає в другу неділю кожного місяця коли відчиняється антикварний базар. Тут можна знайти все, що душа забажає. Книги, платівки, порцеляна, одяг, меблі, прикраси і безліч інших цікавих речей можна купити тут. Кожен покупець може знайти те, що потрібно саме йому.
Неподалік від історичного центру розташована вілла Челліні Джустініан. Цю віллу зачинено для туристів з метою реконструкції. Оглянути я могла її через зачинені ворота. Гарна, біла, велика вілла... нажаль недоступна. Збоку вілли знаходиться Ораторій Святої Терези. Він також зачинений. Знаю, що всередині красива оздоба і твори місцевих художників.
Гарно доглянуте та збережене село зі своїми архітектурними об'єктами, через таку недоступність до них відштовхує туристів. І вони оминають цю місцину.

The village of Portobuffole is quite small and in 3 hours I managed to walk through its streets several times. The desertedness of this village also gives an advantage... you can walk, feel every sound, birdsong and think... nothing distracts! Sometimes this is also necessary... So, my journey is over. Село Портобуффолє зовсім маленьке і за 3 години я встигла пройти його вулицями кілька разів. Безлюдність цього села надає також перевагу... можна йти, відчувати кожен звук, спів пташок і думати...ніщо не відвертає уваги! Деколи це також потрібно... Отож, моя мандрівка закінчена.
