Hello friends of this great community; There was a time when I lived with constant anxiety, always worried about my future, about what could always happen, I was focused on what would come next, what is going to happen next, I feel so lost, what I can do and this caused me a lot of suffering, because I did not accept the present moment.

Even if I was fine and everything around me was working, my mind was fixed on the future, on when that happens or when that happens, what is going to happen, so I mentally anticipated everything before it happened, I set expectations for everything and most of the time they were negative expectations, the terrible thing is that I didn't even know if those things would really happen, I put myself in a situation of suffering due to imaginary scenarios that I myself had created in my mind.

It is curious how human beings enjoy or seem to enjoy suffering, it is not like that, I decided to look for another explanation, why I felt so much anxiety, why anxiety happens, I realized that anxiety is like the twin sister of fear, the only difference is that fear responds to something concrete and real, for example, if I am swimming in the sea and I see a shark, I will feel afraid because it is a real threat to my life, I am experiencing fear at that moment, however, anxiety is generated in your mind, what you do is imagine the worst possible scenarios so that if any of those scenarios happen you won't be so disappointed.

So rather it is a fear that you experience that is not really of the future, but of disappointment, the fear of feeling frustration if things do not go as you expect and that happens in all areas of your life in your career, in your future, in your relationships, for example, imagine that you are very afraid of losing a relationship or losing a person so you start to imagine all the worst possible situations so that if one of them happens you will not be so disappointed, because you already anticipate it in your head.

Something that can be especially challenging for those in their 20s and 30s is to realize that the best way to avoid disappointment and suffering and sadness is to let go of control, it is crucial to accept that we cannot control everything, instead of visualizing the worst scenarios for situations that cause you fear, why not invest your time in improving aspects that are really under your control.

For example, if you are worried about your personal relationships instead of fearing that your partner will leave you or that your friends will abandon you for example. Why don't you work on being more communicative and attentive in your relationships, spend time understanding the needs and desires of your loved ones and strengthening those bonds; In the financial, professional field, for example, if you are very worried about not achieving your financial goals or not advancing in your career, instead of worrying about what could go wrong, use that time to create an action plan, a clear career plan, a robust financial plan and these small practical approaches can make a big difference in relation to what you are looking for and the success you want.

On the other hand, focusing on the opposite just to prevent disappointment is not only ineffective, but it can also be counterproductive. The more you think about a negative possibility, the more likely it is that it will negatively influence you. You remember that what you invest the most your energy and focus on is what you end up attracting, so instead of focusing on what you don't want, start focusing on what you want, what you want, what you hope will turn out well.

You have to stop sabotaging yourself, because this is self-sabotage, one of the biggest mistakes of human beings is not trying to give their best and suffering in advance by imagining catastrophic situations that only exist in their mind, it is ironic how one puts themselves in a position of suffering without anything having happened yet, but in their mind it has already happened, all this to be prepared for something that does not even exist and the irony is that 90% of the things that you imagine will never go wrong. they happen.

Something that really helped me manage my anxiety attacks and made me understand why time does not exist was to start believing in something bigger, no matter what one's faith and religion is, but personally I believe in life, in God, in the universe in a superior force, it comforts me to think that God or the universe always seeks my well-being, my growth, my evolution, I firmly believe that I was created to live without suffering, to feel good, to be abundant, to prosper, to deserve all the good that life has. to offer myself and God wants the best for you.
