Today, while looking through my photo gallery to make a post, I found many pictures that I never shared on Hive. It felt strange because since I joined Hive, I have shared almost every event and moment of my life here. Anyone who reads my old posts can easily understand whats happening in my life.
So, I decided to share my son’s birthday this time, which we celebrated at home this year. What happened was that after Eid, my elder brother and I went to Peshawar for a community event, and we returned on the 8th of April. While I was in Peshawar, I knew that my kids birthdays were coming in April, and I would need gifts for them. I thought I might not get time after returning, so I ordered some toys from Temu while I was still in Peshawar. It was my first order from Temu, and I got really good toys at great prices. Luckily, they were delivered on time within the grace period of 15 days.
Then came the 13th of April, my elder son’s birthday. In our family, birthdays are always celebrated with great happiness. Since childhood, we have seen our parents celebrate like this, and now we are passing on the same tradition to our kids, teaching them that life should be enjoyed, and birthdays are one of those special occasions when everyone comes together.
The most special part of this birthday was the cake, which was baked by the birthday boy’s grandfather. As I mentioned in a previous post, these days my father is very fond of baking cakes, and he makes them so delicious that anyone who eats them loves it. The cake was very soft and of great quality. It was decorated beautifully by my sister-in-law, with “Happy Birthday Aayan” written on it. It looked and tasted amazing.
Another highlight of birthdays in our family is the food. Usually, we prefer to go out for dinner, but sometimes we just order food at home. This time, we ordered momos because in our family, momos are everyone’s favorite. To be on the safe side, I also ordered tikka and kebabs in case the momos didn’t turn out good. But honestly, everything was super tasty, and the momos were just perfect.
After dinner, it was time for gift distribution. Since there are four kids in the family, everyone got gifts. Our mother distributed the gifts, and all the children were so happy. Watching the kids happy made the elders happy too.
This is how we celebrated Aayan’s birthday this year, filled with love, food, and family joy.
