Food is as important in life as staying fit. The truth is, nowadays we cannot completely avoid unhealthy foods because they taste so good, hahaha. But a time came in my life when I had to do something about my weight because it had almost reached 105 kg. Thats when I started the keto diet on 22nd August 2025. I already shared the details in my last post, which you can read by clicking here.
Now, I want to share my 1 week progress with you all. I believe this will give courage and motivation to those who want to lose weight. Honestly, even I get motivated by seeing my own progress and it helps me control my cravings. People say life is short, eat whatever you want, live however you like but the truth is, to really enjoy life, you also need good health and fitness. Controlling cravings is difficult but not impossible, and in keto, the good thing is you still get to eat tasty food.
My progress:
22 Aug – 104.65 kg
23 Aug – I didn’t check my weight. At night, I joined my friends gathering. They went on to try KFC’s new 3rilling Deal and asked me to join. I said no but still sat with them. Honestly, it was a big test for me to control my cravings. My friends were shocked because I am known as the foodie of the group who never says no to food. I went home and enjoyed the chicken my father had cooked.
24 Aug – Holiday. Slept and relaxed at home.
25 Aug – 102.80 kg. When I saw this number on the weighing scale, the happiness and motivation I felt was amazing. Almost 2 kg gone in just 3-4 days! Later, I sat with friends again while they ate parathas, but I stayed strong.
26 Aug – 102.35 kg
28 Aug – 102.15 kg. Losing weight consistently felt so good.
29 Aug – 100.85 kg
In just one week, I lost almost 4 kg, such an amazing result! The funny part is, by dinner time I get so hungry that I even forget to take pictures of my meals. My plan was to take pictures of my father cooking and also of my keto food, but I couldn’t do it this week. Hopefully, I will share them with you all in the coming week.
Keto is a very popular diet for quick weight loss, and now with the internet, everything is easily available. Personally, I ask ChatGPT about low-carb food options and add them to my meals, so its very easy to follow without a dietician or coach. The hardest thing for me is staying away from potatoes because they are my favorite! Lets see how my journey goes in the coming days, hoping for the best.
