Qué cosa tan sabrosa es esa de poder tomar tus ahorros para ir a algún lugar a que imaginabas ir en cualquier momento y poder disfrutar de un alimento que cumple las expectativas y sientes que ha valido la pena.
Les cuento que tenía tiempo diciendo que quería ir a un restaurante que queda aquí en San Fernando de Apure, el cual se llama Asadero Romelio y debo decir que usted pasa por allí cerca y eso es un hambre que inicias a sentir cuando comienzas a percibir esos olores a carne asada, cochino, cachapa y otras cosas que preparan allí y de verdad que huele muy sabroso.
What a wonderful thing it is to be able to take your savings and go somewhere you've always wanted to go, and enjoy a meal that meets your expectations and makes you feel it was worth it.
I've been saying for a while that I wanted to go to a restaurant here in San Fernando de Apure called Asadero Romelio, and I have to say that when you walk by, you start to feel hungry as soon as you smell the aroma of grilled meat, pork, cachapa, and other things they prepare there, and it really smells delicious.

Usted llega a Asadero Romelio y puedes escoger si estar dentro del establecimiento o disfrutar de tus alimentos en la parte exterior del restaurante.
Aunque, les confieso que esto de sentarse afuera es solo para cuando es un día muy fresco en que no hay tanto calor.
Soy un poco tímida para tomar fotos en espacios abiertos porque siento que las personas me ven raro, pero, aproveché para tomar fotos a esta pared donde puedes visualizar muchas imágenes que representan a mi querido estado Apure.
When you arrive at Asadero Romelio, you can choose to sit inside the restaurant or enjoy your meal outside.
However, I must confess that sitting outside is only an option on cooler days when it's not too hot.
I'm a little shy about taking photos in open spaces because I feel like people look at me strangely, but I took the opportunity to take photos of this wall where you can see many images representing my beloved state of Apure.
En esta oportunidad pedí una parrilla sencilla e individual, la cual solo estaba acompañada de carne asada, ensalada de zanahoria y repollo, y le colocaron un bollo con aliños.
This time, I ordered a simple, individual grill, which came with only grilled meat, carrot and cabbage salad, and a bun with condiments.
Señor, o señora que me lee, le aseguro que esto estaba muy sabroso. La carne estaba muy jugosa, tierna, suave y la boca se me hacía agua con solo llevar un pedazo de carne para saborear. Ahora, la ensalada no era algo que ya no había probado en alguna otra oportunidad, pero se le acredita el tema de que estaba sabrosa y combinaba bien con la carne.
El bollo con aliños también estaba sabroso, aunque hubiese preferido tener una yuka bien sabrosa a esta presentación, pero, de verdad que esto no lo hizo menos sabroso ni menos agradable, ya que todo, con una buena salsa (las que ven en el fondo de la foto) tenía el poder de hacer que se derritiera la boca de tanta cosa buena que probabas.
Sir or madam reading this, I assure you that this was very tasty. The meat was very juicy, tender, and soft, and my mouth watered just from taking a bite. Now, the salad wasn't something I hadn't tried before, but I have to give credit where credit is due: it was tasty and went well with the meat.
The bun with seasoning was also tasty, although I would have preferred a tasty yuca to this presentation, but honestly, this did not make it any less tasty or enjoyable, as everything, with a good sauce (the ones you see in the background of the photo), had the power to make your mouth melt with so many good things you were tasting.
Ahora, hablemos de esto, esto es una cosa sabrosa, algo que la gente de aquí de Apure disfruta mucho cuando entra la cosecha de maíz, y el que vive en Apure y no come de esto, señor, usted no es de Apure o le falta salir al Monte.
Esto que ven se llama cachapa, es preparado con maíz del blanco o puede ser del amarillo, pero del blanco queda más sabroso.
Esto que ven en ese plato es realmente grande, yo solo pedí una, porque estimaba que con la parrilla sería algo suficiente para que comiéramos dos personas y quedáramos satisfechos.
Now, let's talk about this. This is a tasty treat, something that people here in Apure really enjoy when the corn harvest comes in. If you live in Apure and don't eat this, sir, then you're not from Apure, or you need to get out into the countryside more.
What you see here is called cachapa. It's made with white corn, or sometimes yellow corn, but the white corn makes it tastier.
What you see on that plate is really big. I only ordered one because I thought that with the grill, it would be enough for two people to eat and be satisfied.
Así quedo este plato armado, y, es que no me gusta salir a comer sola, por lo que llamé a una amiga, quien tuvo la fortuna de poder encontrarse conmigo y acompañarme a probar esto que estaba tan tico.
La cachapa estaba suave, no estaba tan dulce, ni simple, y su punto de mantequilla y queso estaban buenos, aunque yo hubiese agregado más queso. Sí, porque la combinación de la cachapa dulce con lo salado del queso queda de un sabroso.
Les digo, mis amigos, que este pedido de esta manera alcanzo para dos personas y quedamos satisfechos. No fue necesario pedir postre o llegar a la casa viendo que quedó, porque por lo menos yo, que soy buena para el diente, quedé muy llena.
So, I ordered this dish, and since I don't like going out to eat alone, I called a friend, who was lucky enough to be able to meet up with me and accompany me to try this dish that was so typical of Costa Rica.
The cachapa was soft, not too sweet, nor too plain, and the butter and cheese were good, although I would have added more cheese. Yes, because the combination of sweet cachapa with salty cheese is delicious.
I tell you, my friends, this order was enough for two people, and we were satisfied. It wasn't necessary to order dessert or go home with leftovers, because at least I, who have a sweet tooth, was very full.
