Coffee at Valhalla | Week 128 [EN/ES]

Hello coffee lovers! We're halfway through August, and I'm craving a different kind of place. Today I'm bringing you Valhalla, a luxury coffee shop in my city that evokes very fond memories through its associations.   In some ways, even arriving here makes it easier for me to reflect on the questions @cinnccf poses this week when he asks us how to decide whether a coffee shop is better for working or for socializing.        I mentioned the association through references, and I'll explain. As everything in life is coincidental, just today @abelarte published an article that somehow intertwines with my presence here at this moment. He, along with other special beings, helped me create a team of poets that I led for a wonderful time under the Nordic imagery of Viking culture, as a fun part of a literary precept course conducted via WhatsApp and orchestrated by @restaurador.   As writers, arriving at a café like this is closely related to work, socializing, and vice versa, because we're always creating in some way in our minds while socializing with each other. So, I'm reminded of magical times when I sat on the throne as a Viking King, but where we were all equal and supported each other in order to build strong bonds that would bring us closer together as poets and as evolving people.   Apparently, in each of these photos, I am alone with my cup of coffee, but no, in each of these photographs, each of them is with me, working to build new books of poetry covered with pages of the flavor and embrace that an exquisite Cuban coffee always gives us, tempered by the most beautiful traditions that lead us to Valhalla.              So, between shields, axes, swords, and our backs open to the purest Blood Eagle ritual, we'll see you next time when coffee illuminates us! To all, hugs of light!

¡Hola amantes del café! Transitamos por el ecuador de agosto y se me antoja disfrutar de un sitio diferente. Hoy les traigo al Valhalla, una cafetería de lujo de mi ciudad y que me provoca recuerdos muy gratos por asociación de referencias.   De algún modo incluso, arribar a este espacio me facilita reflexionar sobre las interrogantes que nos propone @cinnccf esta semana cuando nos lleva a referirnos sobre cómo decidir si una cafetería es mejor para trabajar o para socializar.        Les mencionaba el hecho de la asociación por referencias y les explico. Como todo en la vida es causal, justamente hoy @abelarte hizo publicó un artículo donde, de alguna manera se entrelaza con mi presencia acá en este momento. Él, junto a otros seres especiales, me ayudó a crear un equipo de poetas que dirigí durante un hermoso tiempo bajo el imaginario nórdico de la cultura vikinga, como parte lúdica de un curso de preceptiva literaria llevado a cabo por whatsapp y orquestado por @restaurador.   Como escritores que somos, arribar a una cafetería como esta se relaciona estrechamente con el trabajo, la socialización y viceversa porque siempre estamos creando de algún modo en nuestras mentes a la vez que socializamos entre nosotros. Así, me sobrevienen recuerdos de tiempos mágicos donde me sentaba en el trono como Rey Vikingo pero donde todos éramos iguales y nos apoyábamos en pos de construir vínculos sólidos para acercarnos mucho más como poetas y como personas en evolución.   Aparentemente, en cada una de estas fotos, estoy solo con mi taza de café, pero no, en cada una de estas fotografías están cada uno de ellos junto a mí, trabajando para construir nuevos libros de poesía cubiertos de páginas con el sabor y el abrazo que siempre nos regala un exquisito café cubano con aires templados en las tradiciones más hermosas que nos llevan al Valhalla.              Entonces, entre escudos, hachas, espadas y nuestras espaldas abiertas al más puro ritual de las Águilas de Sangre, ¡nos vemos en la próxima ocasión donde el café nos ilumine! A todos, ¡abrazos de luz!
