I am a tightrope walker without ropes
to die with the violins
that pierce my throat.
Pale and cruel is the blood of my hands
that suffer the absence of your hands.
The metallic taste of my eyes.
My shadow
has lost its silhouette
on the cobblestones
of all the cities.
The bells
are not witnesses of time
because time
won't let me die,
but in the shape of your wings.
Pale and cruel is the blood
that won't resign itself.
Cross of the ropes
that don't break
because they don't kill the heart,
because they don't think.
I forget to breathe
to tell the wind to smile.
I always tell the wind to smile
and I breathe blankly.

Soy un equilibrista sin cuerdas
para morir con los violines
que perforan mi garganta.
Pálida y cruel la sangre de mis manos
que padecen la ausencia de tus manos.
Sabor a metal de mis ojos.
Mi sombra
ha perdido su silueta
en los adoquines
de todas las ciudades.
Las campanas
no son testigos del tiempo
porque el tiempo
no me deja morir,
sino en la forma de tus alas.
Pálida y cruel la sangre
que no se resigna.
Cruz de las cuerdas
que no se rompen
porque no matan al corazón,
porque no piensan.
Olvido respirar
para decirle al viento que sonría.
Siempre digo al viento que sonría
y respiro en blanco.
