Over the weekend I started to do some maintenance on the front door of our space at our mother-in-law's house and I started by first adjusting it, because it was a bit sagging as it was sticking the bottom of the door to the floor when you were going to close it, which is what I did a few days ago, and I showed you that the problem was solved.

Hola amigos de Hive y @home.solutions, espero que todos se encuentren muy bien. Por mi parte todo bien aprovechando las vacaciones para compartir en familia pero también para salir de algunos pendientes en la casa.
El fin de semana me puse a hacer mantenimiento a la puerta de entrada de nuestro espacio en casa de la suegra y comencé primero ajustándola, por qué estaba un poco caída ya que pegaba la parte inferior de la puerta del piso cuando uno la iba a cerrar, que fue lo que hice hace unos dias, y ta les enseñé qur ese problema se solucionó.
Now it was time to maintain the door itself, which was a little dirty, especially near the handle. It was also covered in dust and dull because there is a window in front of it that is always open.
The first thing I did was to take a damp cloth to remove the dust, then with a damp sponge with detergent I first cleaned the dirty part near the handle until it was clean, then I rubbed the sponge all over the door and to continue with that part, with a dry cloth I removed all the detergent.

Ahora me tocó darle mantenimiento a la puerta como tal, ya que había que limpiarla muy bien, sobre todo cerca de la manilla, además estaba llena de polvo y opaca porque al frente de esta hay una ventana y siempre está abierta.
Lo primero que hice fue tomar un paño húmedo para retirar el polvo, luego con una esponja húmeda con detergente limpié primero la parte sucia cerca de la Manilla hasta que quedó limpio, luego froté la esponja por toda la puerta y para continuar con esa parte, con un paño seco le fui quitando todo el detergente.
After the door dried, I applied a product called Minwax Helmsman, which is a type of varnish that is very good for interiors and especially exteriors because it protects from the sun and rain. I bought this product years ago at Ekipa, and the good thing is that it is transparent and semi-gloss, since my wife is not very fond of glossy or dark varnish, so this is perfect.

Después que se secó la puerta le apliqué un producto llamado **Minwax Helmsman**, es una especie de barniz muy bueno para interiores y sobre todo en exteriores por que protege del sol y la lluvia. Este producto lo compré hace años en Ekipa, una tienda que ya no existe, y lo bueno es que es transparente y semi brillante, ya que mi esposa no es muy amiga del barniz brillante ni oscuro, así que era perfecto.
I took a brush and set out to apply it to the door. I did so very carefully because this product is less viscous than regular varnish, so I applied it very carefully so as not to dirty the floor and leave drops on the door.

Tomé una brocha y me dispuse aplicarlo a la puerta, cosa que hice con mucho cuidado porque este producto es menos viscoso que el barniz común así que lo apliqué sin mijar demasiado la brocha, para no ensuciar el piso y también para que no se vieran gotas en la puerta, y con esto tengo la puerta ya restaurada. Ahora me falta una parte de la pared que debo picotear para darle un acabado mas liso, pero vamos por partes.
Bueno amigos después de hacerle su mantenimiento a la puerta, la misma quedo como nueva otra vez, estamos en contacto y nos vemos otro día.
