Mark Bailey here. On Friday, September 26, I'm planning to premier my new Rstory rap video on X. The video has been recorded and is now in final editing. When it comes out, we want as many people as possible to share it. If you're an influencer and you want to work with us to get this in front of more people, please let us know on Telegram.
Ahead of the release, I hope to increase market stability by increasing Raydium pool liquidity and employing a bot to maintain pricing accuracy even if the price of Solana fluctuates dramatically. Because Rstory is paired with Solana but priced in dollars, if the price of Solana shifts between trades, the resulting new price of Rstory may not be immediately reflected in the pool's trading chart. This bot is an experiment to reduce the likelihood of an inaccurate chart price during a period of likely increased attention.
Beyond this, I'm looking at a Dextools listing and working with a few good opinion leaders. Our main objective here isn't to generate a bunch of manipulated hype in order to spike the token price. Instead, the goal is to get more people involved and participating. We want more people to join our network. To contribute to our pool of common value and use our token to explore digital goods they wouldn't encounter anywhere else.
A rundown of the basics
My vision for Rstory is to establish a resilient network that serves as a viable alternative to decomposing legacy systems. The initial focus is media, beginning with the establishment of a digital commons. The network's first digital goods will be showcased on rstory.io and other websites/apps will begin to present the digital commons in more specialized ways. Every contributor to this is eligible to receive Rstory tokens. 45% of the entire token supply is allocated to thanking contributors with tokenized gratitude. This distribution to contributors is to take place through 2027, supported by a contract-enforced vesting schedule.
On rstory.io, holding just one Rstory token allows a person to access the digital goods on the site. Other sites may increase their own access thresholds to require users to have any number of tokens before accessing digital goods or site features. So a newspaper could have a threshold of 100, a streaming site could require 1k, and an exclusive gallery could set its threshold at 100k. As demand for the digital goods increases, demand for the token may likewise increase.
As the network grows, participants may collaborate with each other, receive payment for the products of this denominated in Rstory, and distribute the funds received with a smart contract. These collaboration contracts may also be connected with each other to establish complex transparent payment streams. Vaulta is an ideal blockchain for this.
As traffic to sites in the network increases, ad space on these sites can be sold in perpetual auctions administered by smart contracts and priced in Rstory. A gamified auction model based on the one once used by voice.com (before their pivot to nfts) will support radically transparent and ultra secure advertising, in part by limiting ads to a simple image+link. As network ad space becomes more desirable, advertisers will have to obtain more Rstory tokens to utilize this space.
The distribution of Rstory to contributors will involve two kinds of contributions: direct and indirect. Direct contributions might include adding a digital good to the common value pool, bringing meaningful public attention to the project, or even running your own Rstory website. Indirect contributions involve delivering value directly to someone else in the network. So the network would provide token incentives for participants within it to help each other out.
In order to establish trust in the network and to prevent scammers from gaming the distribution, Rstory is developing a reputation system using account association and human verification. This system will be based on wallet address, user provided info, registered associations with social media accounts, and endorsements/complaints from other network participants. Initially, any official registration of reputation information will take place here on the Hive blockchain.
