Yesterday I made a post about social media challenge where I shared a battle about a certain ruleset that I don't like coming up against. But playing the game for some time now has taught me how to navigate such a ruleset. Because I am finding my way through a ruleset like that, it always seem to excite me when I am able to make a good selection for battle. Enough of the social media challenge, let's us talk about the engagement challenge. But before that let me talk about the new frontier mode. Today I started playing in it and I must say the campaign aspect does teach you a lot of things. The thing about spl is that they seem to know how to always catch the interest of people and one of those ways is by allowing users earn cards whiles they learn or get involved with something. Today before I could proceed with the frontier mode I had to complete chapter one of the challenge where I earned cards which could be used to play in frontier mode. Now these cards are new and unique cards which one can use in the frontier mode.. After the chapter 1 then you can now start competing in the bronze of frontier where you can level up normally as you win. Now let's get back to what I want to talk about today. Today we are going to talk about underdog victories. Everyday we hear about underdogs and well in all honesty a lot of people like it when underdogs pull off surprise wins here and there. A more favorable or relatable one is the football match between psg and Chelsea. A match Chelsea won but in all honesty they were underdogs in the lead up to the game. So this is what it means. This particular battle is a battle that I  didn't think or expect to win. This particular game was one that has low mana and well 1 of its ruleset didn't favor me. Why do I say it didn't favor me? I say that because with deflection field ruleset going for a card that has the thorns effect and resurgence effect does 0 damage to the opponent. With a ruleset like this at play it takes a simple guess work to actually decide to go for a card like ordium graybrow. This is a card that I like using because of this two abilities that I mentioned. It also has the magic reflect ability and the spite as well but as soon as the deflect comes into play only the spite takes effect. ---------- ![image.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/rubilu/Eo6CgtDoNxssmBxy71ava5jCTgkdjCVBX1mHobCQ18oAGPijaxg7TDmgVwnsx6k1vnq.png) ---------- The other two rulesets were melee mayhem which means melee cards can attack from any position.  The other ruleset was fours a crowd. Thus means you can use a maximum of 4 units. I particular liked the four's a crowd ruleset cause i didn't have to think about going in for small mana cards just to fill my line up. Because the battle mana was small I had to go for a summoner with 3 mana. I went in for dolfar darkflak. This summoner allows you to select both fire and death cards. I went in for the oridum graybrow. Even with most of its abilities not going to be in play I still went for it. Next was halfing refugee. What better card to pick when this card has just one mana. Lastly I went for blazebeard merc. This card has the burning ability but I figured it could help me. From afar my opponents line up looked really strong but it didn't stand a chance. A line up of cards that didnt look like much gave me a sweet victory which I enjoyed. Before I pressed the battle button I thought I'd loose the game but it didn't turn out that way. ---------- ![image.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/rubilu/EoAS3dVNZxQ9G5JJYN4ZKwCmTw5EjBjBwTPZSYDVQYd7WUGGBHAniRFer9fK5Qb4oDF.png) ---------- You can watch the [battle here](https://splinterlands.com/battle/sl_cd1e92546e8e1222171c49029ff67fff) to see how it went.
