Hello Hivers , I was so busy in several days because I need to take good of my Mom , who has illness . Most people in my community has common illnesses , it takes 3 to 5 days to heal or just more than that. Thanks God my mother is better right now , and thank you because we are not all sick, the others are all families been affected.
All of us commonly celebrated a Halloween last time , and yes we are also. Visited some graveyards and bring flowers to our beloved who has passed away , specially at this moment for all souls day.
Sadly I didn't visit because there was no one to watch over my son. It is forbidden for him to ride a motorcycle, it is comfortable to not be able to touch his leg. So I just left, Mama and my sister only visited with my two daughters.
Since I was home alone, my husband and I cooked Sticky Rice also known as (Biko in Tagalog). This is what we usually prepare here. Actually, my husband no longer visits the grave of his beloved because it is far away so he has stayed. He also worries about his son, he still has to be carried to pee and poop. It is really hard because we are still adjusting to our son always crying because his feet hurts.

I cooked 4 kilos of sticky rice in a large pot, wait until cooked. My husband grated the coconut flesh to make the coconut milk for the sticky rice. We used 9 pieces of coconut and 1 ½ kilo of Muscovado sugar. I put the coconut milk in a large pan and let it boil. This is the hardest process because it takes an hour, stir it again and again so it doesn't spill, it overflows when not stirred. Just stir until it becomes thick and ready to mix with the sticky rice.

When it was cooked, we mixed it with the cooked sticky rice, just estimate the amount so it wouldn't be too sweet. That's it, then it's ready for it. It's perfect when paired with Muscovado syrup hehehe, have a bite everyone. We gave some of this to our neighbors, because we couldn't finish it. It's better when it's cold and when paired with coffee every morning, it's filling.

Soo this is it , a small happening on my Halloween day, a simple sticky treat shared with my family's and to my neighborhood. Thanks for reading have a nice day.
