Hello Mommies, from all over the world. I hope you have a good day today. In my previous blog, I mentioned the school I was studying at. So this is what I will show you. My children are also studying here now.
Pagalungan Elementary School. The school I grew up in, yes, and it's not like other schools that are beautiful and of high quality. But I'm proud that I graduated here and am learning as a student. Books were the only source of learning, TVs, computers, and prints were not yet popular back then. Back then, we didn't wear uniforms because we didn't have money to buy them, the teachers just considered what we could wear. We went to school even though we didn't have money or food. Nothing is impossible when we want to study.
My children are so lucky now compared to my situation before. We can buy them uniforms, bags, shoes, complete notebooks, tumblers, tupperware for their lunches, and also money for them to buy snacks. I never thought that times would be different. For me, the changes in my school now are so wonderful.
Every Monday they bring together all the children from Kinder to Grade 6 for a Flag Ceremony. They do some exercises, prayers, sing our National Anthem and the principal announces important news. After that, the children return to their classrooms to start class.
My youngest is in Kinder, it's normal for Kinder kids to be temporarily accompanied by their parents. Usually in Kinder kids they exercise, watch and do activities. Writing, coloring and reading lots of stories done by there teacher. They start the class at exactly 8 am and it ends by 11 am.
This is my second daughter, a girl in the third grade. In this grade, what they are usually asked to do is read. They are also taught to clean inside and outside their classroom. They are quite social now because there is a flatscreen TV where their teacher visualizes the lessons. During lunch, the teacher doesn't let them go out, they just watch cartoon movies to entertain themselves. Their class starts from 8 am to 2:30 pm.
And it's 9am recess time. They let them out to buy. We have a small canteen, which sells snacks. Like turon, popcorn, fishball, siomai, tempura, juice, biscuits and etc. The price of most of the goods is only 5 pesos each. The vendor really knows that the children can buy at a cheap price. They can definitely afford them. I also like the vendors because with the expensive goods now, I wonder if they can still make a profit from this? But even so, their goal is to make the children afford the food, not all children have a lot of money. For my children, it's 20 pesos for the three of them.
My First born, in 5th grade. Next year he will finish elementary school. Time really flies. They mostly did the garden, sweeping here and sweeping there. Even though I felt sorry for her because he was so skinny. She really needs to learn from the chores at school and at home, this is part of her childhood.
All children need to study, I'm grateful because not all of my children experience the hardships I did. I will do my best to help them finish their studies. This is where my blog ends. Thank you for reading. See you next time my fellow friends. Have a nice day ahead.
