**"Memories play a very confusing role, they make us laugh when we remember the times we cried but make us cry when we remember the times we laughed!"** A nostalgic day to you, my beloved Hivers! It’s your @rufajane here, back again with another blog. For this entry, I want to take you on a little journey into the past, to relive the moments that are still alive in my heart. We may be similar in the sense that we all love collecting memories, but each of us has different experiences that shape who we are. As for me, I truly treasure the act of remembering. I love collecting and recollecting memories, no matter how small, because they remind me that every person and every moment that passed through my life has value. I don’t feel sad because those moments ended, in fact, I’m grateful because they happened. And now, allow me to share three of those special memories with you. ![Beige Grey Watercolor Simple Landscape Research Project Presentation.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/rufajane/23xyrQnuFZwzJnEngoPRPGDDfTm8jEGgjRU8vwx9V1zxyikQdiGss2SSyBBEui8CjXNNF.png) --- #### **September 28, 2024 — My Younger Sister's Contest**

My younger sister has always been known as the songbird of our school. Whenever there’s a singing competition, her name is always on the list of contestants. With God’s help and blessing, she often brought home the victory, which made many teachers admire her even more not just for her voice but also for her dedication. That day, I realized how important it is to preserve memories. If I hadn’t taken the initiative to capture photos, I might have forgotten the small details: her nervous smile, the way the audience cheered, or the pride in our parents’ eyes. Every time I look back at those photos, I feel the same excitement all over again. I can still vividly remember how my heart raced as if I were the one competing. It was almost like I was experiencing a “secondhand nervousness,” 😂. But when she started singing, all the tension faded, replaced by pride and joy.

This memory will always have a place in my heart not just because my sister won, but because it reminded me that sometimes, our happiness comes not from our own achievements, but from celebrating the victories of the people we love. --- #### **October 4, 2024 — My Experience as a Little Teacher** This day was extra special because it was the celebration of Teacher’s Day. To give our beloved teachers a much-deserved rest, the school organized an activity where students would temporarily step into their roles. We were called the “little teachers.” I was one of those chosen, and like the teachers themselves, we had to guide and manage students in their lessons for the day. ![462551444_2715005452022992_2557839744915417075_n.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/rufajane/23xKxqpJrTi6B4BojSCxH3JFa8fnaZomRuSWA11UHixyUfXxaspxrJrMMCsAXq8dckvWA.jpg) Since teaching has always been one of my passions, I didn’t find it too difficult to adjust. My mother is also a teacher, so I grew up watching her handle students with patience and firmness. That experience helped me a lot, and somehow, it felt natural to be entrusted with the role. On that day, I was assigned to guide students from SPS or Special Program in Science in their science experiments. Their advisers trusted me to take the lead, and I tried my best to live up to that responsibility. It was both fun and fascinating to watch the students brainstorm ideas together, discussing how each experiment would work and what effects the different chemicals might produce. Their curiosity reminded me of why I love teaching in the first place: because learning is not just about knowing the answers, but also about asking questions and discovering things together. ![image.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/rufajane/Eonk7EwdJargjVEtCsSPjmwVBL9skieAfeV9FBGP4ei9asPEGdogHUymefWNUzPEd4j.png) But as the day went on, I also realized how truly challenging it is to be a teacher. It’s not just about explaining lessons; it’s also about managing behaviors, repeating explanations until every student understands, and maintaining patience despite the struggles. By the end of the activity, I was both tired and inspired. That day gave me a deeper appreciation for teachers. I admire their perseverance, dedication, and love for their students. They carry not just the task of teaching but also the responsibility of shaping young minds. Truly, being a teacher is never easy but it is one of the noblest roles anyone could ever have. --- #### **October 12, 2024 — Space Time Adventure** This day is truly one of the most memorable experiences I’ve ever had because it allowed us to immerse ourselves in the fascinating world of science. For a fee of ₱250, we were given the opportunity to spend the entire day exploring different scientific concepts and experiments. It wasn’t just about watching presentations but it was about experiencing science in action and feeling the excitement of discovery. ![image.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/rufajane/23uFMPmuE9h2qBWBggBNwcYTbGDuvyGuD9Y2HGfVjWqb8XDBXLDLTHhsM7MM6RMTe3yZu.png) Out of all the things I witnessed, the one that left the biggest impression on me was the dancing robot. Even though I accidentally deleted the video I took, the memory stays so clearly in my mind. The robots were not only innovative but also incredibly adorable. They moved in such a way that mimicked human actions, entertaining us with their routines. Watching them made me laugh and marvel at how human creativity, paired with science and technology, can bring such inventions to life. They were indeed reminders of how far we’ve come in making science interactive and fun. ![image.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/rufajane/EpCALxhCvZfD2Mnp3PMSmqm3G5QAsdwNYx5JirG6dLcJz1mdm6sfKmxTegddQLfyf5z.png) Beyond the entertainment, what struck me most was how science connects to our emotions. I realized that memories whether captured on video or not have a way of coming back to us. Sometimes, even without proof, the feeling itself is enough to relive the moment. That day reminded me that the heart holds on to memories in a way that no gadget ever could. ![image.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/rufajane/EpLf79H3ZGYw3kp2VHTraBzVYb8M2fTu63AVjDPJNPKh1zfhhnZXQs3Cc6gmn7etyhj.png) This experience taught me that science is not just about formulas or experiments but also about inspiration. It is about sparking curiosity, creating joy, and leaving moments worth remembering. Even though I lost the video, I know the memory will always stay with me. ![image.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/rufajane/Ep3fGK7Ff74MMb4euHeVAwsijLeYQz9sJyyJDxQYnvoi3Vfq54NwSqUmiRFoMyiMRs3.png) --- These memories may seem like they passed by too quickly, but they reminded me of the small things that truly matter in life. Time may move forward, but the heart has its own way of holding on to the pieces that shaped us. **"Nothing is ever really lost to us as long as we remember it." — L.M. Montgomery** And indeed, that is the beauty of memories. They may fade at the edges, but they will always remain alive in our hearts as long as we choose to cherish them.
