The Chess Master and The Master Teacher: The love story of my parents

Every family has a story and ours begins with two amazing people whose lives couldn’t look more different on the surface, yet blend so perfectly together: our father, the Chess Master, and our mother, the Master Teacher. ![venice-sd35---free_2025-06-22T03-01-01-579Z.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/rufajane/23wMckJ5B3taaqZ5323QLGc6dBv8prJ6upjJaMNLL17P9yQ1QdpAgx653AywHXsfFrfdW.png) Ai generated photo Our father is a man of strategy not just on the chessboard, but in life. With every move, he teaches us patience, foresight, and the value of thinking ahead. He’s not the quiet, serious type you might expect from someone who plays a game of pure logic and strategy. Actually, he’s the exact opposite — lively, hilarious, and always full of energy. There’s not a single day that passes without us laughing at his jokes.😅

But when it comes to chess, he switches into a different kind of focus. One that’s sharp, intentional, and quietly confident. He’s also a mentor, a coach, and a life strategist. He taught us that life, like chess, is not about winning fast but playing smart. That sometimes, sacrifices are part of greater victories. Sometimes you have to let go of the small wins to get the big ones. That silence isn’t weakness, but wisdom choosing when to speak. You can be someone who takes life seriously, but still doesn’t take yourself too seriously. And in the way he leads and loves, we see a man who doesn’t just play games — he plays for legacy. --- Now let's talk about my mom. She is the definition of grace and grit. She’s a Master Teacher not just by position, but by character. Organized, resilient, and committed. She gives her all whether she’s in front of a classroom or at home with us. But more than just teaching lessons and checking papers, she’s always finding ways to grow.

One thing that stands out about her journey is how she keeps getting promoted and trusted with bigger responsibilities and it’s not by chance. It’s because she doesn’t do things halfway. She handles school programs, especially in sports like chess and table tennis, with passion and precision. And standing right beside her, always, is our dad not just as a supporter, but as her partner. He trains the athletes, helps her organize, and is always present during competitions and school events. The two of them work so well together that everyone notices. Teachers, students, even parents, all admire how our mom and dad help each other, hand in hand, through it all. Their teamwork isn’t hidden. It’s seen. It’s felt. It’s respected. Dad taught us how to enjoy life, even when it gets tough. Mom taught us how to handle life, even when it’s unfair. Together, they raised us not just with rules, but with reason. Not just with love, but with lessons. They didn’t just raise children. They raised thinkers, doers, believers, and dreamers. They raised us with humor and discipline, with rules and flexibility, with lectures and laughter. It’s not a perfect life, and they’re not perfect people but their love is real.

Now that we’re growing up, we see it more clearly: we weren’t just raised by a father and a mother. We were raised by a mentor and a guide, a coach and a nurturer, a thinker and a believer. ![474583419_970992431588722_88501199099742223_n (1).jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/rufajane/EpVB57MidgprGeEu5YbQB63xqWn5KaQoY8s1qf3fEL4VGQh3u5fNnbAUVqWpCowyvfu.jpg) To the world, they may just be a chess master and a teacher. But to us, they are everything. So even the world around them sees it — the way they move, support, and grow together. It's something rare, and we’re beyond blessed to witness it up close. Because of them, we believe in teamwork. We believe in genuine partnership. And most of all, we believe that the best kind of love is the kind that shows up every day, in every way.
